PROTOCOLS OF PRAYER...part 1
This is so important, that Jesus Himself taught His disciples the mechanics of prayer....or as I term it for this new Series - THE PROTOCOLS OF PRAYER. He did this in what we know as "The Lord's Prayer"!
Evey phrase in this Prayer signifies something rich, powerful and holy. Matthew 6: 8-13 (NKJV) is the Living Example from the Master about how to pray.
Our
Father in heaven,
Hallowed be Your name.
Your kingdom come.
Your will be done
On earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our debts,
As we forgive our debtors.
And do not lead us into temptation,
But deliver us from the evil one.
For Yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen.
Hallowed be Your name.
Your kingdom come.
Your will be done
On earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our debts,
As we forgive our debtors.
And do not lead us into temptation,
But deliver us from the evil one.
For Yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen.
The
Lord’s Prayer should be the guide for us, from Prayer Warrior to new Christian,
about how to approach His throne. The following through Jesus’ Lord’s Prayer is
taken from my prayer journal and each day, a new line will be looked at! This exercise is meant simply as a guideline for believers to pray their own praise!
OUR FATHER: Oh Lord, You have known me since the
Foundation of the Earth and chosen me as Your very own child. You knew me from
my mother’s womb, through the rotten years in the wilderness from whence You
saved me. Thank you, my Father and God for bringing me to Jesus, Your Son in
Heaven who created all things. Search me oh Lord and knew my ways. See if there
is any wicked way in me, REMOVE it and lead me into Your everlasting Kingdom.
In His Name above all Names, Jesus, Amen
IN HEAVEN: Father in
Heaven, You have been around since the beginning of Time. No one can comprehend
Your mighty Ways or Your purposes. The
world speaks without knowledge of You. Teach me Your Ways here on earth as
ordained in Heaven that I may come closer to You and seek after Your
wisdom…until the day I join you in Heaven. In Jesus’ Name. Amen

I like the way that you break down the Lord's prayer as a guide. Many times people use it as a prayer, when in fact when Christ teaches it in the new testament, He says pray in this manner. I find it helpful to remind us of all the things that we should recognize in our daily lives.

Amen brother Derrick! Thank you for that note. The majority of people I know use it as their ONLY prayer...and that's okay to a point...but it is as you have described, brother!! Thanks for checking it!!
God bless you and yours always,
Bernie
