DAY 10

STAND UP FOR YOUR CONVICTIONS 

This is a different type of Prayer Focus Day as head towards the end of the designated 14 Days of Prayer, originally called by the US Conference of Catholic Bishops for Religious Liberty. Since then, several major conservative Protestant organizations, including myself, have joined in as there is always a great time to pray and obey.


As we come to the final Five Days, for this specific period, we have to resolve to NEVER stop praying! This is the main takeaway from what we are doing. The Bible says to "pray without ceasing" (1 Thess 5:17). This LITERALLY means (in the Greek) - LEAVE NO INTERVAL BETWEEN THE TIME YOU PRAY (for example NOW) AND THE NEXT TIME! It doesn't mean you pull over every five minutes on the Interstate Highway, kneel down and pray. The key is to be in constant and repentant fellowship with the One Who created you and sent His Son to be the Bridge back to Him, so we can have that uniquely close relationship with our Father.


If you and I wish to see our children and families and therefore our local communities and towns do better, we must never cease from praying. We should never stop because the enemies of God - the devil - will not stop until he destroys our peace, our love for the Savior and each other and our children and their futures. Christ was NOT kidding when He said in John 10:10 "The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I came that they may have life, and have it abundantly".

Many Christians are now fearful since the US Supreme Court, in a stunning decision decided to legitimize a life-altering governmental decree which affects every single American. With or without knowing it, the decision has repercussions for Religious Liberty, Individual Freedom and personal choice. There is confusion in the Body of Christ about how to react to this and if we should really even want to pray God's blessings to the people who do this kind of thing.


Again - yes, we have to, because God commanded us to. But several questions and concerns have come up in the past couple of days, which are worth considering and taking to the Lord in prayer:


-  When praying for a decision maker: whether it is a wrong-headed Judge or Politician, pray for his/her personal salvation first, their safety and their families' protection, joy and happiness.Trust me, my friends. This will put you in good standing with the only Judge Who matters - Jesus Christ!


-  We are to pray that their policies and plans reflect the Will and intentions of God, not man. If a politician and the judge who okays it, decides they wish to tell a church "You can pray inside your four walls, but don't bring your religion outside and try to live like a Christian....and by the way, I, Mr. Politician, am a Christian too...so keep your opinion to yourself!" Well, in this case, you don't pray for any ungodly policy - which promotes abortion or teaching kids sex education or name your outrage - we DO NOT PRAY FOR THAT TO SUCCEED.


- In this event, while praying for government leaders, it is absolutely okay to put these people and any clearly anti-Bible policies firmly in the Hands of God and pray "God, oh my God, I can't handle this....I am losing my mind watching all the debate and outrageous lies or policies I see on Fox News, Father if You don't take this from me,  I will become a basket case. I give this issue over to You. Lord, You alone are sovereign and the heart of the king is in Your Mighty Hands. From the days of Nimrod and others, man has assumed an opinion of himself higher than You. 
In 6000 years, nothing has changed. So Father, I ask that You deal with this in Your Way, which I know is not MY way! Lord I know this policy or decree or mandate to provide pre-abortive pills is wrong and from darkened, cold hearts. Lord, You handle this in Your way. The courts and laws of man will never be pleasing in the Eyes of a Holy God, so now, oh God, I pray for Divine Intervention. 
Father, none will escape Your accountability, including me, if I don't stop obsessing about this and go back to "praying without ceasing". Therefore, I am now submitting to You and Your plans for us as a family and the Body of Christ, in Jesus' Name, amen.
If you prayed this prayer, and really want to not let all of this evil and politics get to you - turn the TV off and go for a walk or workout in the gym, or go ride your bike...trust me, it makes a HUGE difference. Finally...and we are going to keep this running on this site, for long as it takes, I wish to briefly address a question, which is relevant to our time.
- Is it okay to "REBUKE" the devil? Yes! Here is what James, the half-brother of Jesus wrote in James 4:7 "Submit to God, RESIST the devil and he will flee from you!" RESIST in the original language is anthistémi or STAND YOUR GROUND, OR SET YOURSELF AGAINST, OR FORCEFULLY STAND UP FOR YOUR CONVICTIONS....need I continue!


I have personally rebuked the devil several times and most of it was while the scumbag has come after my family, or my soul when I am doing the Lord's work. He is not to be trifled with but he is a liar, cheat and a coward who flees at the Name of Jesus! I know this to be ABSOLUTELY TRUE!!!  However you want to rebuke the devil and his demons, do it but ONLY do it if your soul is right with God! Do not go to trench warfare with the serpent of old armed with a super soaker! He will eat you up and spit you out if 1. you are not saved and 2. are not fully walking with the Lord! Trust me, I have seen and heard of many people "binding" and "rebuking"  or "casting demons" into "hell" etc...only to have them not just get frustrated that things got worse, but they are more confused than ever!


Think on these things, over this weekend as the second half of this year begins. Then ask the Lord to search your heart and see if there is anything hidden or wicked or should not be there, and then ask Him to remove it, so that there be nothing hidden between you and Him. This way, you and I can be better men and women of prayer...powerful and righteous before Him. Amen.

DAY 9

PRAYER  FOR GOVERNMENT LEADERS 

FROM CITY HALL TO THE SHORES OF THE POTOMAC

Today's prayer focus comes at a difficult time for the majority of real Christians and especially those who pray. This does not make the task of praying for people whom the majority of citizens do not like, any less critical.  Many of us would rather NOT be praying for ANY political leaders - from local town councilman to those in the capitol city of Washington DC. We see the destruction ungodly (no matter how well-intentioned) policies have wrought on families and the debt-ridden future of our children and grand-children....most of whom have no hope for a future of hope and even a career. We see politicians trample on the free exercise of the spreading of the Gospel of Christ, while bowing down to every other strange belief....and the list goes on from Federal Funding of abortion providers like Planned Parenthood to....and again...the list goes on.


Therefore the question comes up "I am supposed to pray for the same people who wrecked the country and is telling my church they must pay for things I don't believe in?" YES! We are not only supposed to, but commanded to - by our Heavenly Father, in more than one passage in the Bible. 


There are two ways we can respond to this. One is called "Imprecatory Prayer". In Christian History, King David was the master of this (Psalm 109). The great Protestant Reformer and founder of the Presbyterian Church John Knox is the best known for his prayers of calling down judgment on those who spread false religion and oppression. Mary, Queen of Scots (also called Bloody Mary) was the most powerful woman in the world almost 450 years ago and is known to have said “I fear the prayers of John Knox more than all the assembled armies of Europe.” 


Is the Follower of Christ supposed to called down curses and judgment on people, even obviously bad people like Saddam Hussain or Pol Pot or Bashir Assad of Syria? Not really. As tempting as it may be and as it good as it may make one feel, this actually usurps the Sovereignty of God Who will deal with those well-know evil men as well as those today who promote all manner of conduct which are obviously unhealthy, immoral and against God's Law. We should NOT usurp the Power and Authority of God via imprecatory prayer. We can pray for all challengers in an election the same way we pray for those in office though.


The second choice is moving away from Imprecatory Prayer and doing what Paul says here, directly from the Heart of Christ: "First of all, then, I urge that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings be made for all people, for kings and all who are in high positions, that we may lead a peaceful and quiet life, godly and dignified in every way. This is good, and it is pleasing in the sight of God our Savior, who desires all people to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth. (1 Timothy 2:1-4 ESV)


Why we should listen to this Truth spelled out here in Verse 4:
- It is good.
- It is pleasing in the Eyes of God.
- God desires all men and women to be saved. 

This last one is important. When we pray for people who say they are "Christians or born-again" but live like the devil....and we pray  for their families and their protection and smooth sailing for them personally - two things will result. The Bible promises in Verse 2 above that it will go well with us personally and secondly, our prayers will eventually make those people uncomfortable in their rebellious souls! So we are to pray most for them to be saved and come to KNOW and LIVE the Truth of the Gospel. 


So Father in the MIGHTY and POWERFUL Name of Jesus, Who has the Power to Save and is Sovereign above all the affairs of men and women in authority, I pray for the leaders of my city, state and country. I pray they seek You daily, not like Zedekiah and those kings of Judah who mouthed worship to You while bowing down to pagan gods in their closets, but that they fall on their knees before Holy God daily to seek and obtain guidance. Father they need Your Guidance and Hand upon them that their temporary stewardship as our elected leaders goes well and they first, do no harm and secondly promote the general welfare of the governed.


Lord I pray that they and their families, even those who profess to know You as their Savior, when their public conduct says otherwise, I pray that their wives and husbands and children come to a Saving Knowledge of the True Truth, the Gospel of Christ and that they, like those of us who have repented and believed the Gospel will become saved. I pray that they too, Heavenly Father, will realize their own need for a Savior. Lord, we know that the higher the political title, the more apt the person is to think that all they need is themselves. Lord, we know we can't do anything on our own but that is Christ...and Christ Alone, and His Grace Alone through Faith in Him Alone, Who saves us and not in our own righteousness and works. So Lord, I pray for their salvation and for the humility they need to find that peace that passeth all understanding, in Jesus' Name.


Lord I pray not only for these political government leaders but those who surround them - their advisors and cabinet officers and even their "Yes-men and Yes-women" that they provide Godly counsel and advice rather than some of the stuff we are seeing today. I pray that the Spirit of the Lord convicts the souls of all the people everywhere, not just America. I pray cover also for my Christian brother Stephen Harper who runs the country of Canada that You raise up more men like him, who fear God and who is trying to halt the slide of that country by his pro-life, pro-family stance. I pray for the President of the United States and his family and everyone in that executive branch. I pray for the Supreme Court of the Land and all the associated courts down the organizational chart. I pray for the United States Congress and the Speaker of the House of the people.  I pray for all fifty governors and state houses reps and mayors and others. Bless them all, my God and my King and may Revival of Spirit and Soul come to them as they all surrender their lives to the Service of the ruler of the Universe - my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, in Whose Name I pray, amen.

PRAYERFUL HEARTCRY FOR CHRISTIAN MARRIAGES

DAY ONE:

Dear God,Two imperfect people cannot make a perfect relationship. This morning we humble ourselves and pray and invite You Lord God into our marriage relationship. We can't do this alone. We invite You to be the centre of our marriage and to get "all up in our buisness". 

Every aspect of our lives with our spouse I pray that you meet us there... in those moments. I pray the Holy Spirit guide us in our words and in our actions and in all things in the day to day life of our marriage. We can't be the spouse You called us to be alone and our spouse can't be the person You called them to be and that we want them to be if we aren't united in You. 

The word of God says that you will give us the desires of our hearts. Lord God we pray that you give us the desires of our hearts for our marriage. "A person standing alone can be attacked and defeated, but two can stand back to back and conquer. Three are even better for a triple braided cord is NOT easily broken." In the mighty name of Jesus Christ we pray, ask and Lord God we receive all these things! 


DAY TWO:
We prayed and invited you into our marriage relationship. Although you Lord God are perfect we are not. We have said and done hurtful things to our spouse in the past and our spouses have said and done hurtful things to us in the past Lord God. We don’t want anything to get in the way of Your best for our marriage and our lives Lord God. Today we lay our hurts at your feet. We release our offence, our resentment, our expectations, and our disappointments to You Lord God. People that we are close to hurt us the most so even small things can turn into big mountains. 

But have not been given a spirit of offence and taking offence is a decision we have to make. We decide from this moment on Lord God to forgive as we have been forgiven. Just as we feel hurt and disappointed by our spouse and as our spouse has been hurt disappointed by us. We know that we deny You many times daily Lord God. We disappoint you and let you down and you forgive us without a nagging word, without that extra jab, without attitude, without bringing up the past.

As a matter of fact our past indiscretions are completely wiped from the board. We pray Lord God that we forgive our spouses as readily as you forgive us. Thank you for the Holy Spirit that is going to convict us of our attitudes so that we can, in that moment, change our tune and walk in Unity with our spouse! “He heals the broken-hearted and binds up their wounds.” 

In the mighty name of Jesus Christ I pray that these chains are broken! We will no longer be bound and chained but we will be set free from these hurts and move forward in complete victory! Reveal to us our hearts so that we can release it all to you. Praise God! 

DAY THREE:
Dear God, we thank you for all you have done in the last two days Lord God. I have felt the Holy Spirit lead me in areas that I have left uncontrolled for too long with respect to my marriage. Yesterday we gave you all our hurts and all of our chains of unforgiveness Lord God! Isaiah 43:19 NLT "For I am about to do something new. See, I have already begun! Do you not see it? I will make a pathway through the wilderness. I will create rivers in the dry wasteland." 

God you have started a new thing in each of our marriages! Making a way where two days ago there might not have been a way. Today Lord God we ask that you reveal to us anything that we ourselves our hiding in our heart that we are not aware of and if we can, we will pray with our spouses that God reveal the same to our spouses. The word says that we ourselves do not know our own heart. 

Sometimes we have attitudes and walls for reasons that we ourselves do not know... sometimes past hurts and trust issues and dissapointments surface in our marriage and we don't know the root. Today Lord God we take time to sit here and allow for you to speak to our hearts and for the Holy Spirit to guide us to anything we have hidden in our hearts so that we can release it to you as well. 

So we can tear those walls down and help You make away! I recently realized that some of my walls and things I read as unloving from my spouse were rooted in the sexual abuse that I went through as a child. I had no idea that my attitudes towards my husband complementing my looks and trying to let me know he though I was beautiful was undermined by my own unrealized emotional ties to that abuse. It really is freeing and so I pray Lord God reveal to us any and all things as we take time to sit here and listen. Speak to us God. In Jesus mighty name I pray and ask. Amen

DAY FOUR:

In the “Christian” world I am one of the few wives who walk without their spouse in their faith. I encourage you today, if your spouse has not yet decided to follow Christ to pray daily for their salvation. God’s timing is perfect. You can, and have the authority to stand in the gap for your spouse. 

Don’t let the enemy bind the strongman in your house. Keep them covered. Speak in faith about the things that God is doing in your spouse’s life and thank and praise God in advance! :) I have been listening to Joyce Meyer’s teaching on the mouth because I felt like God really wanted to deal with me and my big mouth... and in listening to her teaching I got to thinking about our mouth and our spouses with respect to gossip. 

Today Lord God we repent of all the curses on our spouse and our family that we have spoken in the past. Your Word speaks to us of idle words without purpose and we are warned that we will be held accountable for every word spoken. It also says that in the tongue is the power of LIFE and DEATH. Lord God today we repent of the “stories” we shared with friends, family, co-workers or maybe even just spoken out loud in a moment to ourselves which “uncovered” our spouse. Love covers a multitude of sins... and like the sons who uncovered their father’s nakedness we have also done the same to our spouse. 

Please forgive our idle words without purpose. Please forgive our words spoken to get a reaction instead of words spoken to bring glory to you Lord God. We pray to be like the son who would not even look at his father’s nakedness but covered it! We know that words have creative power so we pray and ask in the mighty name of Jesus Christ that any curses spoken are bound and broken through the blood of Christ. 

We pray that you give us strength so that no unwholesome talk comes from our mouths. We pray that you enable us and that the Holy Spirit guide our words and convict us IMMEDIATELY when our mouth is going without purpose with respect to our spouse. Complaining about our spouses, sharing bad behaviours (nakedness) seeking pity or for wrong motives, saying something in a ladies get together chat time on a diss the spouse atmosphere. 

Proverbs 31:12 “She brings him good, not harm, ALL the days of her life.” Our mouths will no longer be used to bring harm to our spouses but our mouth will be used to bring our spouses good! ALL the days of our life! We speak blessings over our spouses daily following the lead of the Holy Spirit! & if possible we speak those blessings directly over our spouse! When we are held accountable for every single word we speak, we will stand before God knowing that with His help, our words from this day forward became MUCH LESS idle! Praise God for that! In the name of Jesus Christ we pray! Have an amazing day today! ♥

A sentence Pastor Garry Fess said a long time ago that found rereading in some of my sermon notes the other day. "The Character of Christ is IN you!" You don’t do this in YOUR own strength... but through His. #StayBlessed. 

DAY 5
Dear God, We thank you for the good works you are doing in our marriages. This morning we come to you Lord God and ask you to help us be transparent with our spouses. I heard a great line from the leader of Elizabeth's House Women's Ministry, "Anything less than transparent, is opaque." Lord God the last thing we want to do is put up barriers and a wall between us and our spouse. We don’t want to hide behind anything, just as we wouldn’t want our spouses to hide behind anything with us. Lord God help us and our spouses be transparent! 

Lord God help us speak the truth in Love... if we have something hard to share help us find the words to share it in the kindest, gentlest, words we could find as if we were literally on our knees before that person sharing our hearts. Lord God don't let us bridle our tongues with respect to all the wonderful things our spouse means to us that too often we don't say. Help us to be transparent in our thoughts and thankfulness for the smallest things our spouse does. It's hard sometimes to share our feelings good or bad. It's really hard to be real. 

We know that Pride is a seed sin Lord God and we will battle it until the day that we go home to meet You Lord God so in the mighty name of Jesus we pray and ask that you humble us for our spouses. We pray that pride be cast down in all things we say. Lord God that doesn't mean that our spouse is always going to respond in a Godly way but, in that moment we pray that you remind us that YOU alone are our refuge. You alone are our redeemer, protector and safe place. 

Help us keep any curses we would normally speak in defence and cast them down and speak words of blessings from you instead. We repent of the offence that we have taken up by not being transparent. Like when our spouses doesn’t do what we want and we walk away silent, or don’t do things we planned to do because our feelings are hurt. Our spouses aren’t mind readers and sometimes we forget that. If we don’t tell them our feelings they can’t help us. 

From this day on Lord God we pray for the courage to be transparent in our relationship with our spouse. If we can we will pray this together with our spouses and we will have a real conversation about being transparent with our spouse so that we can start this journey together :) Apologizing to them and seeking forgiveness for past behaviour moving forward in VICTORY! Praise God! 


DAY 6
Dear God, we thank you for using us as a catalyst for change for our spouse. Just like in the movie Evan all mighty, where the character of god says "You think that if somebody prays for patience I will zap them with patience? Or will I give them opportunities to be patient in?" We pray that we see every opportunity that you gracefully have given us to be a catalyst for change in our marriage. 

Every opportunity that you have given to help us bind our hearts to together Lord God we pray that we seize without hesitation and with your grace! We understand that the enemy will try to intervene and remove us from the divine course that you've set us on. BUT READ THE BACK OF THE BOOK!!! WE WIN!!! The enemy has NO power over us! THE CHARACTER OF CHRIST IS IN US!!! Today Lord God we pray against the spiritual forces that come against us as we press in to do Your will Lord God. 

Help us to remember that it is not against flesh and blood but against powers and principalities of darkness. But we do not war against those powers on our own! We do it by the authority of Jesus Christ and the by the blood that has been shed for us! We have already won! Thank you for your blessings, grace and protection! All this we pray in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen

DAY 7

Dear God, we want to be like the wise man who built his house on the rock! The rain comes down, the streams rise and the winds will blow and beat against our marriage, yet IT WILL NOT FALL! Because OUR MARRIAGES have their foundation on The rock! Jesus Christ! We lean on you today and everyday for the rest of our lives and thank you God that You alone are the Rock, the third cord, the binding factor and protector of our marriage! We give you all the praise glory and honour the GOOD WORKS you are doing in our marriages! In the Mighty Name of Jesus Christ we pray

DAY 8
HE IS! He IS the Alpha & the Omega! The beginning and the end! He IS! If you want to define yourself do it IN HIM! NOT by the culture. The culture tells you what a women or man is and what they are not. God doesn’t see things the same way. He is THE Creator! Who better to ask what something IS than THE One that made the creation? Dear God today we ask that you help us to accept our roles in our marriage and accept the roles of our spouses in our marriage. In the mighty name of Jesus we pray & ask!

DAY 9

Dear Lord, today we come to you in complete humility asking for repentance as wives and husbands in not building our house on The Rock and following God’s plan for families! Wives have been unruly and full of pride and filled with a “Jezebel spirit” in ruling their households and husbands have been allowing for this to occur. Lord God the culture tells us that women and men are equal. Much like the serpent to Eve, the culture has been calling to women... He doesn’t want you to eat from the tree because THEN you will be as wise as He is.... Men don’t want women acting like men in the homes because THEN you will be JUST LIKE MEN.

It didn’t work the first time and the second time isn’t working much better.
Please forgive us wives for making financial decisions without consulting our husbands. Please forgive us for not submitting ourselves under our husband’s authority. Not tyranny, but loving authority. As God is the head of the church and died for us, akin to the love of a Christian husband to His wife. Sacrificial in all aspects. Head of the home and all in it yet, sacrifices everything for them in LOVE.

Teach us Lord God by the leading of the Holy Spirit how to be the wives that you have specifically designed each of us to be. Help husbands Lord God to lead their homes in Love as you have specifically designed each of them to be. That doesn’t mean that all of our marriages and our roles will look alike at all, but, it does mean that the men will rise up to lead their families. Rise up and be the Christian example that their wives and children are crying out for them to be. And it does mean that the women will let their husbands lead. For some like me Lord it may be hard because we are unequally yoked. 

But that is no reason to upset the design for our families. We pray that you give husbands the wisdom, protection and guidance through any means you need to help them lead families in a way that Honours you Lord God. In the mighty name of Jesus Christ we pray & ask!
Amen


DAY 10

Dear God, Today we lift up wives in prayer. We pray Lord God that wives stay focused on what You have called for them to do. There are many things that are pulling their attention in a million directions Lord God but the first thing you gave Adam and Eve was a home. The garden of Eden. We pray that you help women see the garden of the home that you have given them. We pray that the attention that husbands and children are crying out for from wives is met by God’s grace. I also pray Lord God that you help women to stay focused on the things that matter. We tend to focus on home decor, fashion and other things that women like to get caught up in. Not that there is anything wrong with enjoying those things! But we are very aware that if Satan cannot take us down he will keep us distracted. We pray against distraction today. 

We will hold our garden of Eden that you have blessed us with, our husbands, our children as our first priorities. We are the first example of Christ to our children and “the helper’ to our husbands! We will not be distracted from what You Lord God have called us to do in each of those relationships. We weren’t sent here to gather items... for moth & rust to destroy. We are here to store treasures in heaven! Where our treasure is, there our hearts will be also help us Lord God to delight in all the small things that being a wife and mother involve. In Jesus name I pray that you help us to be Biblical wives in a culture and a world in which real life television shows glorify the shallowness and materialistic, pridefilled woman to be the “perfect woman.” 

We will be different Lord God and I pray that we receive Your Joy! Fullfillment that we can only find from You, knowing that we are doing Your will in being a Woman of Proverbs 31! In the mighty name of Jesus Christ we pray and ask! “She is clothed with strength and dignity; she can laugh at the days to come. She speaks with wisdom, and faithful instruction is on her tongue. She watches over the affairs of her household and does not eat the bread of idleness.Her children arise and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praises her: “Many women do noble things, but you surpass them all.”

DAY 11

Dear Lord, we pray Lord God that we help You be the filter in our marriage. Help us to recognize Lord that it is not flesh and blood that we are at war against but the powers and principalities of evil. Lord God we pray in the mighty name of Jesus that in moments of difficulty when we only see things with our earthly eyes when it comes to attitudes and behaviours of our spouse, we pray that we see our spouses with Your eyes!

 Our spouse IS our brother/sister in Christ. They ARE YOUR child as well and Your heart is for them! Please help us Lord God see situations, actions, behaviours, everything with Your eyes! We pray that our eyes stay focused on You and that the Holy Spirit gently convicts us when our mind wanders on the blame game and accusations and the spirit of strife attempts to settle in so that we can SPEAK OUT!! 

We have Your grace Lord God to deal with all things! The CHARACTER OF CHRIST IS IN US!!! We can’t escape it! We thank you for helping us be Kingdom minded and for giving us the power to overcome our flesh so that we can walk in unity with our spouse. Encouraging and edifying them as we were called to do! We praise & thank you in the Holy name of Jesus Christ! Amen

DAY 12

Dear Lord we pray that you bring into our lives marriage mentors. A Godly couple in our lives or that we see in our lives that have a Godly marriage. There’s something about what they have that we want Lord God and the best way to figure out how to get it is to ask them if they would be our marriage mentors. Get together once a month as a couple and just talk about life, bounce some questions off them.

Hear their wisdom. We are used to being disciples Lord God following the way of Christ Which is why we are Christians. We pray that you lead us to a couple in which we could be marriage disciples of in order to Grow in our marriage with Godly wisdom on our side. Proverbs 1:5, Proverbs 12:15, Proverbs 13:10 Proverbs 19:20 Seeking Godly wisdom is Biblical!
Lord God we also ask that you open doors for us to mentor a married couple. Lord God we pray that You lead us to the couple that we could work with and grow together and help them on their road to a Godly marriage. In the mighty name of Jesus Christ we pray!

We also need to spend time with people who have succeeded in an area of life in which we would also like to succeed. We need to talk things over with them, learn from them, and receive their wise counsel.”

DAY 13

Dear Lord today Lord God we are deciding that the person we chose to marry IS the “Right Person” as Andy Stanley put it. We are committing our futures to you Lord God. Maybe we haven’t taken much time to think about the future of our marriage Lord God and maybe some of us can’t even picture a future in our marriage. But, right now, in this moment we are committing the future of our marriage to You. 2 Timothy 4:7 “I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.”

We will finish this race, we will keep the faith! You Lord God have a HOPE and a PLAN for our future! If there’s a plan there is some thought involved! We will PURPOSE and PLAN for our future! We are going to do things ON PURPOSE, we are going to think ON PURPOSE with the end goal finishing the marriage race just as we started it! Together! We commit the futures of our marriages to You Lord God. We pray that you keep our passion for each other alive! We pray that we remain stirred up! We pray Lord God that the fire in our Love does NOT go out but that You fan the flame! We have a hope and a future. We pray that you direct our paths today, tomorrow, 5 years down the road, 10 years down the road, and 50 years down the road Lord God our future is together!

Give us a visual of what that looks like. YOU HAVE GIVEN US A HOPE AND A FUTURE!!! A Hope! AND a future Praise God! We seize that and take hold of that with both hands to day Lord God and we WILL NOT let it go! We claim all the blessings and favour and mercy that you have on our marriage to day in the mighty name of Jesus Christ! We bind and gag all demonic and evil powers working against us! They have no power. WE are the children of God. We are more than over comers we are CONQUERORS! & praise God Our marriage will not lay dead. It’s is alive and well and we are not merely over comers with a story to tell Lord God we are conquerors! We WILL finish this race and You are the secret ingredient. We give you all the praise and all the Glory! In Jesus precious name we pray. Amen!

DAY 14

Dear Lord God today we come against generational curses and generational behaviours in marriage. Our parents, our grandparents, our great-great grandparents! No relationships are perfect Lord God because we are imperfect. Attitudes, behaviours and mindsets have been adopted conscientiously and subconsciously from generations before us Lord God and today we come against those behaviours, attitudes and curses today in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. 

We break the chains of bondage from previous generations Lord God and we pray that we put on Love. If we have a Christian heritage Lord God we thank you and we hold on the Biblical values that have been passed on through the generations Lord God and the blessings that come from following the Living Word of God in marriage Lord God. We come against anything that has come into our marriages that is not of You Lord God. If we do not have a Christian heritage, Father we pray that you speak into our lives and rise mentors up alongside us and as we prayed yesterday. 

We pray that a mentor couple help us change the direction of our family for us and for all future generations to come. Pick us up, shake us off and set our feet upon a new path, a Your path Father God. We thank you for the mercy that you have been showering down on us God. Your grace IS sufficient. You have given us the grace we need for today Lord and there is NOTHING today that we will face that we do not have the GRACE for! Your grace IS sufficient! Thank you God. We love you! In the mighty name of Jesus we pray. Amen

DAY 15

Today we pray with 2 Philippians as our guide.

Dear Lord God; Today we repent of our expectations from our spouse. We repent of our selfish behaviours and attitudes towards our spouse and expecting of them rather than serving them as their spouse. All of us will agree that most of our arguments and hurts come from expectations that are not met. Things that are not done and said that we are expecting from our spouse. 

Today Lord God we repent of our prideful ways, if we have any encouragement from being united with Christ, if any comfort from His love, if any fellowship with the Spirit, if any tenderness and compassion, then make our joy 

complete by being like-minded, having the same love, being one in spirit and purpose. Lord God let us do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit, but in humility consider our spouses better than ourselves. Help each of us should look not only to our own interests, but also to the interests of our spouses. 

Help us so that our attitudes should be the same as that of Christ Jesus: Who, being in very nature God, did not consider equality with God something to be grasped, but made Himself nothing, taking the very nature of a servant, being made in human likeness. And being found in appearance as a man, he humbled himself and became obedient to death— even death on a cross! 

Let us continue to work out our salvation with fear and trembling, for it is God who works in us to will and to act according to His good purpose. 

Help us Father God to do everything without complaining or arguing, so that we may become blameless and pure, children of God without fault in a crooked and depraved generation, in which we shine like stars in the universe as you hold out the word of life... 

Help us to expect nothing Lord God from our spouses but help us to receive the joy, Your joy that comes from putting on servant hood in every moment with our spouses. Just as Jesus did for us, so that our marriages will be blessed to grow and the enemy has no foothold to grow bitterness, anger and resentment. 

In The Name above all names, Jesus Christ we pray! Amen!

DAY 16

Dear Lord God,

Today we pray that by the spirit that you sent down to us we life each day, each moment, each second having patient love for our spouses. We pray that we have a kind heart and attitude and that we do not envy our spouses for their time at work, time at home or anything else that they have that we might think to ourselves (Well I don’t.....) We pray Lord God that you wash over us with a spirit of humility Lord God that strangles out the seed of pride. 

We put off all that we inherited from Adam Lord God and we put on Love that we inherited through Jesus Christ. Lord God we pray a guard over our mouths so that no rude, disrespectful or hurtful things come out of it. We can’t control our mouths on our own but we can do all things through Christ Jesus that gives us the strength through the Holy Spirit! Lord God help us ALWAYS to protect, ALWAYS to trust and ALWAYS to persevere! 

We love our spouse and don’t do things on purpose to hurt them. Lord God help us to believe that our spouse, just like us, does not have ill will or bad intentions in their dealings with us. In the mighty name of Jesus Christ we pray!

DAY 17

INTEGRITY!! - JOSEPH RUNS AWAY

Dear Lord, help us to fight temptation and to live a Godly life. Everything our eyes see in this culture is against You Lord God. The enemy is determined to find our weaknesses but we are determined to pass these tests! We pray Lord God that we are Spirit lead and that we don’t let the enemy in our heads. Satan doesn’t like that we’re standing tall but we ARE fighting temptation!

Bind us and our hearts to our spouse! Lately there has been an increased attack on women with books like 50 Shades and movies like Magic Mike. We know Lord God that is not really the heart of a woman. We speak against the spirit of lust and the spirit of defeat telling women that their only worth is in sexual domination and that our self worth is tied in sexual actions. 

Let us know who we are. Daughters of THE king. We're worth more than that! We have the seal of Jesus Christ tattooed on every part of us. We are forgiven, we are worthy of divine love! There’s temptation to make money but Lord God help us to put our trust in You and not in money or things. Help us trust you and fight the temptation to provide for ourselves, in our own strength. Help us reach out to You for help! We can’t win this war by ourselves we pray for more strength so we and our spouses can fight these temptations. 

The enemy is trying to keep us bound but the anointing on our lives WON’T ALLOW!!! WE ARE FIGHTING TEMPTATION!! We pray that you dispatch your angels to surround us, our spouses, our children and our families with their swords of truth raised high! And their shields of faith covering us in all this! Help us remember that You have us in Your hand! We give you all the praise Glory & Honour as we overcome the temptations that attack our marriage! Our enemies are at the bottom of the sea! We proclaim Your power over all of our situations! Chains are broken! Spirits ARE cast out in the mighty name of Yeshuah! We are indwelt with The Spirit! It. Is. Finished! Give a shout of praise for Your victory!!!!! It is finished!

DAY 18

Our prayer for today is for faith. We pray Lord God that the prayers that we have been praying for the past 18 days are not only words but that our faith is released in those words. Our prayers are not going unheard! You are in the midst of us in our prayers! In listening to Ryan Fullerton again today I felt that we needed a faith boost! 

GOD LOVES TO ANSWER PRAYER! NO GOOD THING DOES HE WITHOLD FROM HIS CHILDREN! Our words are NOT like clanging cymbals brothers & sisters but they are filled with grace and the power of the Holy Spirit who intercedes for us, Praise God! Our prayers are being answered! I lend my faith to all of you. I pray on your behalf and intercede bridging the gap. When we pray that the mountains move, Praise God in the Name of Jesus, they move. Hallelujah! All the praise and Glory to God! I pray we recieve the spirit of peace that You have already given to us Lord God! The tomb is empty... you have risen.... nothing is impossible for You! Not even our marriage :) We give you all the honour & the glory in Jesus Name! Amen

DAY 19

Dear Lord God, we pray that we do not grow weary in well doing. Lord God my thoughts are brought back to Moses. Exodus 17:12 "When Moses' hands grew tired, they took a stone and put it under him and he sat on it. Aaron and Hur held his hands up--one on one side, one on the other--so that his hands remained steady till sunset." Do we know anybody that dedicated to prayer? Can we imagine ourselves extending our arms to you for so long that we need the help of our spiritual brothers & sisters to help us extend our hands to You in faith? 

Lord God I pray that the same dedication indwell us Lord God. I pray that the same passion for prayer overwhelmes us until we can't help but pray day & night! Let us NOT grow weary in our prayers. We pray Lord God that we do not keep account in marriage relationships. We pray that we don't use sentences that say "You always or You never" labelling our spouses and placing them in boxes that WE design for them ourselves. Just as you keep no account Lord God I pray that we keep No account! 

Remind us of YOUR grace towards us! So that we cannot bring up the past with our spouses... ever. Just as you NEVER bring up our pasts in our dealings with You. Thank you for encouraging Your people Lord God. I pray the blessings of Ephesians 1 over all who read this. Let them receive Your truth so that when the time comes, Your will shall be done in all things. We bless your name and thank you for your Grace. In the name of Jesus Christ we pray! Amen.

DAY 20

DEVOTIONAL PRAYER: 1 Peter 3:1-2 "Wives, in the same way submit yourselves to your own husbands so that, if any of them do not believe the word, they may be won over without words by the behavior of their wives, 2 when they see the purity and reverence of your lives." 

Can I be real with you guys for a minute or three? I'm not very submisive. Not that long ago my husband used to tell me I was a horrible wife. & I thought WHAAAAAAAT is he drinking? I keep the house clean, I make 3 meals and snacks a day, I take care of these kids 24 hours a day 7 days a week, I give up what I want to accomplish in life to support this family. I am THE BEST wife! 

Everybody said Amen right? ;) But, what good is any of that if I am disrespectful to my husband and the station that he holds in my life. King of our castle :D I lost my prayer notes.... I guess the kids must have gotten into my book while I was at work tonight. But this line sticks out to me. "Put on SERVANTHOOD" 

Just as Christ put on SERVANTHOOD for us. He came to serve not to rule. As I sit here tonight and contemplate many things I realize that I need to put on servanthood in my marriage. I need to win my husband to Christ without words. I can’t do this life alone forever. I know that God knows that. I’m like a circle peg trying to fit into a square hole every place I go. I need my husband to be a Christian, I need our purposes and our futures to be synced so that together we can accomplish all the great things that He has purposed for us to do! I need this to happen to that I am no longer on this path alone! When I tell my husband big dreams he hears me. He stands behind me in even my craziest thoughts and endeavours.

Not too long ago I had a revelation about my role of a wife to my husband. I have been working and building on my own biblical knowledge and spiritual tuning and leadership skills in the last 2-3 years. In conversation with Carrie Cook Raab it hit me that a wife and a husband's purpose is intertwined. Rob & I share the same purpose in life. God isn’t going to divide us with the good works he has planned for us. God has a purpose for both of us that will have us working on the same goals, same life... and as that team duo we were put together to edify and build each other up. That doesn’t mean that I stand alone. That I work only to build myself up while I am idle waiting, doing nothing for my husband to start building himself up. I feel a strong sense of God in leadership and since my husband and I hold a future and a purpose together, I sense that Rob has a strong sense in leadership right beside me! Or better yet, me beside him :). I feel like somewhere, doing something, Rob & I have a purpose in a ministry doing God’s work in a big way. My job is to edify encourage and help Rob build up those skills that are going to help him fulfill God’s plan for his life.

My husband once told me that I am never the damsel in distress. He can never save me. And he’s right, I always jump up and save myself. Not only with him but often with God. That is what I did in the last 7 months working ridiculous jobs. Tried to save myself. I need to submit myself first to Gods plan for my husband and put on SERVANTHOOD so that without words Rob will be won over. MY PURPOSE IS IN MY HUSBANDS PURPOSE!  I believe that God has GOOD and BIG plans for my life so the same plans are for my husband and His life! We are UNITED in marriage and walk as one! I need somebody and God gave me Rob. Just like God gave YOU your spouse.

Let’s pray that God help us serve our spouses. Let’s pray that God help us edify and build up our spouses as we were united as one to do. Let’s pray that God make our purpose in life with spouse crystal clear so that we can know exactly what we need to get to where God wants us to be. I listened to a Joyce Meyer CD today that said that each time one of us doesn’t fulfill God’s will for our life, the body of Christ hurts. The church misses out on something GREAT that God is trying to do through His people. Let’s don’t let our disobedience hurt the body of Christ. We WILL fulfill our mission that God has put us & our spouse together to accomplish. 

No devil in hell and no man on earth will stop it because the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords came down to US, put on SERVANTHOOD and died so that we would be blameless in His sight. We have the authority through Jesus Christ and the blood shed for us at Calvary and today we claim it! It is ours and we’re walking in it. Humble us Lord so that our spouses may be won over to You without words but by our behaviour as Christians. Christ Followers. In Jesus name we pray!

DAY 21

Fighting Fair. Lord God today we come to you and ask You to help us fight fair with our spouses. From the first day in our 30 days of prayer we recognized that we are human and imperfect and that we needed You in our marriage because of that imperfection. Because we are imperfect Lord God we need and ask that You help us to fight fair in our marriage when the conversations come in which we don’t see eye to eye on. 

Your Word in Matthew 5:9 says “Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called SONS of God.” Not children, but the grown sons and daughters of God who get to spend the inheritance! “A peacemaker is more Godly than somebody who stands around and waits for somebody to come and make peace with them.” Joyce Meyer

Pray that there be no strife between us in our marriage. Help us to humble ourselves. Your Word tells us to humble ourselves so that You may lift us up! Lord God help us humble ourselves and be peacemakers like Abram. Lord God the other thing you have stirred in my heart to pray for today are the fruits of the spirit. We don’t need to pray for you to give us the fruit of the spirit. 

Everytime I hear people praying that you give them the fruit of the spirit my spirit wants to jump out and shout YOU DON’T NEED TO ASK FOR IT!!! YOU ALREADY HAVE ALL ALL ALL ALL OF THE FRUITS OF THE SPIRIT! Today Lord God we pray that YOU help us RECEIVE what YOU have ALREADY given to us! Help us receive the fruits of the spirit that are already ours! Love, Joy, PEACE, Forbearance, Kindness, Goodness, Faithfulness, Gentleness and self control! Praise God! 

We are your children and we WILL be called peacemakers and that is going to start in our marriage relationship in Jesus name! 

We give you all the glory & honour & thank you Lord for the GOOD works you are doing! I prayed earlier Lord God and it’s still in my spirit now, we may not see what we want to be seeing with our natural eyes but bless God YOU ARE WORKING in the spirit Praise God! In Jesus name we pray and ask for all these things and we pray blessings and protection on all marriages in this journey! Amen!

DAY 22

For a couple months when I was working two jobs with no time to spend with God I didn’t feel ANY spiritual resistance. After the incredible battles spiritually I have been dealing with when I realized this I paused... and thought.. Hmm... this is REALLY WEIRD! What happened?

You want to know what happened? The enemy didn’t have to worry about me anymore. I was far too busy working two jobs being a wife & mother in my spare time to be doing anything effective for God. No resistance. No power. Nothing. Just me. So with this recent re-appearance of spiritual warfare at first I was like seriously? I DIDN’T SIGN UP FOR THIS AGAIN! (First day.. no jokes) But it definitely made me realize that Satan is only going to come up against you when you are doing God’s will. So after a day like today and the last few days that have been really hard for me spiritually, I am encouraged. The enemy may have brought today with 5,000 angles and many people as puppets of his to do his will but let me tell you, it encourages me that I’m back on the radar!

I was reminded as I wrote notes yesterday night; I have not been saved for myself. God did not save me from my sin so that I can sit here.. with a smile on my face in the comfort of being safe. I have been saved not by my works but by HIS grace! I have been saved to do GOOD works that the Lord God is asking me to partner with Him to accomplish so that just as Paul said in Ephesians, Grace has been given to us so that we may preach! So that we can share it and by that sharing like a ripple in a water God wisdom is made known to man through faith and Jesus Christ.

You want a good marriage? You are going to need GOD’s GRACE to walk it out. Without God all up in our business and our relationships, without God’s GRACE we fail. Do you think the enemy wants the word of successful marriages to get out? Satan would rather use us like puppets spreading the message of doom. The message that doesn’t involve the grace of God so that those Grace ripples are dried up. Producing no good thing. YOUR marriage doesn’t only involve YOU and YOUR spouse... your marriage influences and speaks to every single person that knows you both. YOUR marriage is a story... and that story is either going to speak of the unbelievable power of God’s grace creating faith ripples that cannot be stopped. OR Your marriage will, to every single person that knows you, your son, your daughter, your aunt, your neighbour, your son’s 1st grade teacher, your dog walker, your great great grandchildren that you will never meet... you marriage can carry the message of doom that Satan wants it to carry. No ripples. No life. Death. Absence of Grace is death.

Today I pray that we realize the influence of our marriage relationship. We may think that it’s all about us... or even all about “me”... but our marriage has influence and will speak volumes to everybody we know. Let us live and walk our daily marriage life with that burden of influence HEAVY on our hearts. So heavy that we never forget the plans of the enemy. Not only to destroy our ripples of faith and life but to continue to destroy our faith ripples to generations that come after us. Let our marriage Lord God shout out to every person that even has a short glimpse into our relationship of the power of the Grace of God. The absolute power through Christ Jesus that Grace has been so freely given. We have been saved not for ourselves this grace was given, that we should preach among the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ,

EPHESIANS 3:9 and to make all see what is the fellowship of the mystery, which from the beginning of the ages has been hidden in God who created all things through Jesus Christ;10 to the intent that now the manifold wisdom of God might be made known by the church to the principalities and powers in the heavenly places, 11 according to the eternal purpose which He accomplished in Christ Jesus our Lord, 12 in whom we have boldness and access with confidence through faith in Him. 13 Therefore I ask that you do not lose heart at my tribulations for you, which is your glory.

14 For this reason I bow my knees to the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ,15 from whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named, 16 that He would grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with might through His Spirit in the inner man, 17 that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; that you, being rooted and grounded in love, 18 may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the width and length and depth and height— 19 to know the love of Christ which passes knowledge; that you may be filled with all the fullness of God.

20 Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us, 21 to Him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever. Amen.

DAY 23

Hebrews 11:1 (AMP) NOW FAITH is the assurance (the confirmation, the title deed) of the things [we] hope for, being the proof of things [we] do not see and the conviction of their reality [faith perceiving as real fact what is not revealed to the senses].

Dear Lord at the very beginning of our prayer journey Lord God we asked you to help us put a vision in our hearts for the future of our marriage. We believe in faith Lord God that you have been revealing that vision to our hearts. That You have been recalling things to our minds that you want to change in our marriage so that it can bring more glory to You. Lord God we pray right now that the Holy Spirit give us the vision you have for our marriage and that we receive the vision being revealed. 

Today Lord God we come to you as as Habakkuk 2:1-4 reads “1 I will climb up to my watchtower and stand at my guardpost.There I will wait to see what the LORD says and how he will answer my complaint.2 Then the LORD said to me, “Write my answer plainly on tablets, so that a runner can carry the correct message to others.3 This vision is for a future time. It describes the end, and it will be fulfilled. If it seems slow in coming, wait patiently, for it will surely take place. It will not be delayed.4 “Look at the proud! They trust in themselves, and their lives are crooked. But the righteous will live by their faithfulness to God.” 

Right now Lord God we will take the time to sit here and write down the vision that you have given to us! They will be written plainly so that the vision never leaves our thoughts, hearts and mouths! This vision for a future time of fullness united together with our spouses! 

It will be fulfilled... although it seems slow in coming we will wait patiently for it will surely take place! WE HAVE FAITH as Hebrews 11:1 says! Our marriage will be fruitful, long lasting, joyfull, filled with grace, mercy and compassion and the fruits of the spirit given to us through the Holy Spirit will be plain to see for all that look at our marriage. This vision for our marriage WILL be fulfilled! It will not be delayed because we WILL live by our faithfulness to you! When we look back at the vision, the list, the paragraph, the picture that we see in our hearts today we will shout GLORY GLORY to the Lord Almighty! For He is FAITHFUL indeed! We give you all the praise! And all the Glory! In the mighty name of Jesus the Christ. Amen!

DAY 24

Dear Lord God, we pray that you help us come to you first with ALL things. That we cast our cares, burdens, joys, everything we have in any way we pray that we TRUST you enough Lord God to go to you with. The root of intimacy is TRUST... and we have failed you Lord God on many levels. The closer more intimate relationship you want to have with us we push away due to lack of trust.

Lack of trust in your word, your ability whatever the worry and fears are that the enemy has tried to put on us to distrust you Lord God we apologize now and lay them at your feet. In reading Hosea last night you revealed to me that you are calling us to lean on you, trust you FOR EVERYTHING.. but instead, like a prostitute, we are selling ourselves to things in the world for our provision. We lack trust in your provision and therefore the closeness and the intimacy that you are trying to build with us is cut short. Help us to trust you Lord God. Reading in Hosea how the prostitute will be laid bare like the day she was born so that she has no choice but to turn back to you and NO ONE WILL TAKE HER OUT OF YOUR HANDS. 

Lord Forgive us for turning to our spouses and expecting THEM to be our providers. Providers of Joy, Happiness, Satisfaction, Provision of things that we are supposed to TRUST You in Faith for. Instead we have been “running to our lover”. How can we love if we do not yet know love? We cannot. In Jesus Name we pray that You strip us bare as hard as it may be Lord God until we have no choice but to turn to you. In that moment, You WILL hold us in your hand... and NO ONE WILL TAKE US FROM IT! Increase our intimacy in You with our complete trust in all that You are so that we may, out of that overflow, share and build the same intimacy with our spouse. In Jesus precious Name we pray ask and RECEIVE! Hallelujiah!

DAY 25 

Today the prayer is simple. Today Lord God we thank you that the power of the Holy Spirit lives in us and gives us strength. Always! We pray that we fulfill all you have planned for us and when we are in our desert for 40 days, we pray that like Jesus, when the enemy comes with the right lines and the right lies we stand strong IN you Lord God! 

Knowing that after we refuse the temptation that your angels we be by our side to give us the nourishment that we need! Let us be people who do not quit. Let your Word be on our tongues and in our minds always ready to speak truth when the enemy comes with his lies. God you want people who don’t give up. We made a promise to you and our spouses on the day we were married and made a covenant agreement with You! 

We will have FAITH in you and stand firm in our covenant agreement with you by never ceasing to pray. Ever. And we know that with Your strength we are those people. In the mighty name of Jesus Christ we pray and ask and receive! From your children you withhold NO GOOD THING! We receive Bless You Lord! We receive! Amen! 

DAY 26

Psalm 147:3 - “How good it is to sing praises to our God, how pleasant and fitting to praise him! The LORD builds up Jerusalem; he gathers the exiles of Israel. He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.”

No fear in death, No shame in life. Lord God today we come to you and ask You to help us receive that message. NO SHAME IN LIFE. We hear some people say well the Bible says Forgive but it doesn’t say forget. That’s a straight out lie from the enemy. In Your Word it says that we are far from our transgretions (Psalm 103:12) In Hebrews 8:12 it says that our sins will be remembered NO MORE. He doesn’t only forgive our sins HE ACTS LIKE THEY NEVER HAPPENED. EVER. 

Today we are asking you Lord God to help us forgive ourselves and to help us see ourselves the way that you see us. Some of us Lord God are carrying heavy burdens of guilt and shame from past relationships, divorce, and this guilt and shame is damaging our current marriage. In the mighty name of Jesus Christ I bind the spirit of guilt that is on Your people today! Because they ARE Your people... and what You have said is blameless, IS blameless. & thank Jesus you see us white as snow. We come to you Lord God and we repent of our past, we receive your forgiveness and just as you remember our sins no more, so shall WE remember our sins no more. They are not merely forgotten but thanks to Jesus and His sacrifice for us they are FORGIVEN. We stand blameless in Your sight. 

We pray that Your love envelop every part of us and that the Holy Spirit envelop our spirit so that when the enemy steps in with at the right time with the right lines that we stand tall in who YOU say we are! Not who the judgemental people at church say we are, not who our family defines us as, not as we are judged by this world, but by who YOU Lord God have called us to be! Your children! Perfect in Your sight! We will NOT listen to any voice but Yours! Forgiven. I am forgiven. My past is as far away from me as the east is from the west because I have been made new through Christ Jesus! I have been made NEW! 

The old has passed Praise God! You heal the brokenhearted and you bind up their wounds! We claim that healing today here and now Lord God in Faith! it is OURS! :) I’m divorced, it is remembered NO MORE! I have had many partners, it is remembered NO MORE! , I have failed in love, it is remembered NO MORE! We are set free! :) We give you all the praise and the Glory and we seal the healing the Holy Spirit has done in the mighty name of Jesus. What God has done, no demon in hell or no man on earth can undo! Praise God!

DAY 27

Matthew 6:8 “Do not be like them, for your Father knows what you need before you ask him.”

Matthew 6: 19-36 “Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. 20But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moth and rust do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal. 21For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also. 

22“The eye is the lamp of the body. If your eyes are good, your whole body will be full of light. 23But if your eyes are bad, your whole body will be full of darkness. If then the light within you is darkness, how great is that darkness! 

24“No one can serve two masters. Either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and Money. 

25“Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more important than food, and the body more important than clothes? 26Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? 27Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to his lifeb? 

28“And why do you worry about clothes? See how the lilies of the field grow. They do not labor or spin. 29Yet I tell you that not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these. 30If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today and tomorrow is thrown into the fire, will he not much more clothe you, O you of little faith? 31So do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ 32For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them. 33But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. 34Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own. 

Dear Lord God today we lift up our finances to you in prayer and in Faith. Lord God we pray as wives that you give our husbands wisdom to lead our finances in the purposes that you have for them and we pray as husbands that we have the wisdom and the ear to listen to wisdom God granted wives with for insight on our finances and the purposes that you have for them. Lord God Money and Finances are one of, if not THE biggest factor is division and strife within a marriage. 

Today Lord God as Matthew 6:8 and Matthew 6:19-36 state so clearly we will not be like the world. We will not worry, fight, or invite strife into our marriage by the hand of the what the world sees as treasure. Money. Lord God we know that we don’t store up for ourselves treasures on earth but treasures in heaven and today Lord God we are receive the measure of faith that YOU HAVE GIVEN each of us and we will apply it to our provision and our finances so that we can be led by the Holy Spirit entirely in all of our decisions. We pray that you rains down, shower down, flood our marriage with a peace that transcends ALL understanding with respect to our finances. Let us go to our knees Lord God and start asking you about the financial l decisions we are making so that we honour and bring Glory to you through our finances and not just build monuments to ourselves on earth through our money. 

Lord God if we keep our eyes on you everything else will fall into place. Sometimes it’s hard when we can’t line up the dots A, B, C or 1, 2, 3... it’s hard for us to step out and believe that You Lord God are our provider... but FAITH is not based on reason... or knowing all the answers and then standing in agreement. We stand in agreement even if all the dots don’t add up. We are your sheep and WE HEAR YOUR VOICE! We don’t see all the angles, we just believe that You ARE faithful and You Will provide our needs as the Word says that you will Lord God. Honouring the husband as the head of the house in each of our households. 

Those who obey you and follow your word ARE BLESSED as the blessing in Deuteronomy says. If we have our eyes on You, money will no longer be a source of division, strife in our marriage... it will be another form of expressing our love to You, worshiping You, another area for us to grow intimately with each other as we honour You Lord God. We hear your voice. Praise God! We’re so thankful that You still speak. We hear your voice! We give you all the praise Glory & honour in the mighty name of Jesus Christ we pray and ask

DAY 28

Dear Lord God, today we engage in spiritual warfare. Ephesians 6:12 "For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms." Today Lord God we acknowledge and recognize that we are in a war. There are spiritual forces against us AND for us. This isn't just gloom and doom. “Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand.” Today Lord God we ask that you reveal to us our weaknesses in our marriage that the enemy is attacking us with. Lord the enemy cannot read our minds, the enemy is not omnipresent, the enemy only knows our weakness' by our own admissions... complaints. So Lord God we ask today that you help us not give the enemy more ammunition in his battle against us... help us keep our complaints and our mouths quiet so that the enemy cannot open doors of temptation against our marriage. 

We pray Lord God that you close all doors that the enemy is trying to pry his way into in our marriage and open all doors to Your truth Lord God in the mighty name of Jesus we pray and ask. We pray that you help us cleanse our houses and reveal to us any regional demons or demons that have found their way into our homes so that we can cleanse our houses, our marriages, and our relationships of them. 

We,”Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your [our] waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, 15 and with your [our] feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. 16 In addition to all this, [we] take up the shield of faith, with which you [we] can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. 17 Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.” With these things Lord we will overcome! We stand firm in You, Lord God and pray that the mind blinding demon be cast down so that truth can be revealed to us and our spouses about the spiritual temperature in our homes. In Jesus name we pray that you release legions of your angels to surround and protect all of us Lord with THE sword of truth lifted HIGH so that all can see. We are in your hands Lord God. Our names are written there. We are never forgotten and always protected. Thank you Jesus! Amen! 

DAY 29

I feel like God wants us to learn how to speak our spouses love language! :)

Click on this site and take the test... and then pass it along to your spouse to take the test. After you learn each other’s love language work on loving your spouse with THEIR primary love language! :) NOT loving them with YOUR primary love language as we often do. Then understand why they don't view some of the things you say or do as loving when you see the same things as loving. Like "I can't believe she didn't notice I washed the floors!" (I hear that line often... if you can guess... acts of service is NOT my primary love language :D ) 

Dear Lord God please help us to give love to our spouses in the ways that you have uniquely wired them to receive love. Please help us to recognize the loving things our spouses do for us even if they are NOT being done in our primary love language! Our hearts are good Lord God... You know that. And You know that the hearts of our spouses are equally good! Help us to believe the love of our spouses like we did on the day of our wedding! In the mighty name of Jesus we pray ask and receive! Amen

DAY 30

On our last day of prayer friends, I want you to do little arts and crafts. Is that alright? I live a little out of the box ;) It’s not that scary... so don’t be scared It’ll be fun!

Do you know the story of the woman with the alabaster jar of perfume? 

Luke 7:36-47.... Let’s read it together:

36Now one of the Pharisees invited Jesus to have dinner with him, so he went to the Pharisee’s house and reclined at the table. 37When a woman who had lived a sinful life in that town learned that Jesus was eating at the Pharisee’s house, she brought an alabaster jar of perfume, 38and as she stood behind him at his feet weeping, she began to wet his feet with her tears. Then she wiped them with her hair, kissed them and poured perfume on them. 

39When the Pharisee who had invited him saw this, he said to himself, “If this man were a prophet, he would know who is touching him and what kind of woman she is—that she is a sinner.” 

40Jesus answered him, “Simon, I have something to tell you.”

“Tell me, teacher,” he said. 

41“Two men owed money to a certain moneylender. One owed him five hundred denarii,d and the other fifty. 42Neither of them had the money to pay him back, so he canceled the debts of both. Now which of them will love him more?” 

43Simon replied, “I suppose the one who had the bigger debt canceled.”

“You have judged correctly,” Jesus said. 

44Then he turned toward the woman and said to Simon, “Do you see this woman? I came into your house. You did not give me any water for my feet, but she wet my feet with her tears and wiped them with her hair. 45You did not give me a kiss, but this woman, from the time I entered, has not stopped kissing my feet. 46You did not put oil on my head, but she has poured perfume on my feet. 47Therefore, I tell you, her many sins have been forgiven—for she loved much. But he who has been forgiven little loves little.” 

He who has been forgiven little... loves little.

How much do YOU think you are forgiven... daily by God?

You are forgiven... LOTS. In our marriages we need to step up to that plate and keep in mind that WE have been forgiven LOTS and so we will LOVE LOTS!! Just like the sinful woman with the alabaster jar of perfume. So I want you to craft yourself something to remind you of this parable. If you use cologne sharpee Luke 7:47 on it to remind you daily... or a money clip... or on your bank card... or whatever comes to mind that you use on a daily basis that will help you remember that YOU are a forgiver! Post it notes are also happy friends And because YOU have been forgiven MUCH, you WILL forgive your spouse of MUCH... over, and over, and over... and over... and over... again. (Mathew 18) Times infinity. Agape. 

Marriage is like riding a bike. When we first learn to ride without training wheels we fall down a lot. We get hurt a lot. And every time we get back on that bike we know that there’s a risk of falling down. But with each time that we get back up on that bike, we fall less and less until eventually, falling isn’t even a concern anymore. We are pretty good at riding our bikes and the freedom feels FAB-U-LOUS! The end result IS worth those few bumps we encountered on our journey. Just like in our marriage. It isn’t always easy but the end result is a love so deep that the end result IS worth those few bumps we encountered on our journey. In watching Craig Groeshel on their churches annual At The Movies the verse he mentioned that wrapped up this whole 30 days of prayer for me was Nehemiah 4:14. About a year ago God showed me that to see change in a certain situation, all God needed was a Nehemiah. Somebody who would step up and PRAY for what they believe in. Be the Nehemiah for your family. And like 4:14 reads... FIGHT for your homes. It IS worth it.

We pray Lord God that You help us receive your strength to keep getting back up. It’s hard God. But we have been forgiven much... we will forgive much! We will not give up. We will erase that as an option. The only option is prayer and guidance from You and Your Word! Help to keep us accountable in prayer Lord God. I pray that the Holy Spirit convict us if we neglect to fight with the only power that we have, the power of prayer. Thank you that our marriages will stand as monuments to Your glory and grace. We bind all that has happened over the past 30 days and pray Your divine protection over us as we navigate Your will for us and our spouses in our marriage. In the mighty name of Jesus we pray and we thank you Lord. We deserve nothing and yet You give us everything. Amazing Grace. Thank you. Amen.
