PART 4 OF OUR WALK THROUGH ROMANS 14
(HOW WE LIVE WITH EACH OTHER)
..."Who are you to pass judgment on and censure another's household servant? It is before his own master that he stands or falls. And he shall stand and be upheld, for the Master (the Lord) is mighty to support him and make him stand....Romans 14:4 (AMP)
This verse is a good followup to our Sunday Message, which was about those who deny "The Gifts of the Spirit". These Cessationists not only look down on those who accept all Scripture as living and breathing in its finality. They even call such people "Holy Rollers"!
Are some who live in the gifts of the Spirit putting on a show, which does not edify the Body? Of course! I see it all the time. HOWEVER, what God has ordained, none shall unclean, dirty, unbiblical or even satanic...as many of my fellow conservatives have. I know...I used to be one of them! Part of this man-centered judgment has to do with a misunderstanding of two things - the so-called "Baptism of the Holy Spirit" and the word "Impartation",
Tomorrow's devotion will clarify both, before we move on from Romans 14:4. This is an absolutely fascinating chapter, my fellow saints!. Paul makes a point here about harshly judging a fellow believer....as opposed to HAVING a discerning spirit!
The latter is very important. Especially in increasingly important times, where phrases like "signs and wonders" are flung around - YOU HAD BETTER DISCERN WHICH SIGN IS FROM GOD AND WHICH IS NOT!
This verse also clarifies who our true enemy is - the devil and his deceptive spirit realm - NOT fellow Christians who may or may not need some minor mentoring or guidance. If this guidance is necessary, then it SHOULD be done in Love - not condemnation.
Therefore, remember this: THERE IS NO CONDEMNATION FOR THOSE OF US WHO ARE IN CHRIST JESUS. If someone has sinned against the church, then Matthew 18 church discipline should be instituted. Anything else should be a matter of prayer! Then, step back, and watch Jesus work!!! AMEN!

I find when I listen to that still small voice it is always right. But it's when I let the wrong spirit guide that I see signs that aren't signs at all, but coincidences that mislead. In other words, when I get in the way I can't see God act. I found during my time of persecution and trial that stepping back and trusting God to be all powerful in my situation was amazing and nothing short of a miracle. God is still parting the sea so to speak.
Wow!! Thanks Nikki! This is a testimony all by itself! Can I use this a part of the next devotional on Wednesday?!! I promised to talk about the Baptism of the Holy Spirit on Tuesday, but will like to go back to what you brought up here and expand on it, and then include this comment as the major focus! You're so insightful!! Thank you!
