Ephesians 6: 12-14 (NLT) "For we are not fighting against flesh-and-blood enemies, but against evil rulers and authorities of the unseen world, against mighty powers in this dark world, and against evil spirits in the heavenly places.
Therefore, put on every piece of God’s armor so you will be able to resist the enemy in the time of evil. Then after the battle you will still be standing firm. 14 Stand your ground, putting on the belt of truth and the body armor of God’s righteousness."
As a people in the Body of Christ, we seemed to have lost our collective nerve! Having been part of the intercessory prayer movement in both a proactive leadership position and most times, by choice, in the background praying, the amount of both apathy and plain biblical error that I see, is astounding. It is almost as if the enemy already has us beat by we (the body) shooting ourselves in the collective foot!
In the past few years, I have been unfortunate enough to witness intercessors falling away, their families disintegrating right before their eyes. This unnerves them so much, they have to pull back from the front line, where Christ placed us. When He saved us, He did not call us to High Tea but to join an ongoing war! This war was spiritually won at the Cross of Christ 1980 or so years. However for this church age, the powers of the air, who control this planet, are not from Christ - and it is THEY who rule the world!
Jesus did not leave us defenseless, but sadly this is the opinion of many in our churches by their abject and needless surrender. This needs to change. Therefore, for the next three days, I will do a short series of devotions on HOW to enjoin the battle.
TOMORROW: WHAT DOES VERSE 12 OF EPHESIANS 6 REALLY MEAN..."WHAT IF YOU'RE NOT A WRESTLER"?! (BB)
In the meantime, this less than two minute video from the late great Christian Leader and Preacher David Wilkerson, will really get you in the gut about any lack of prayer in both your corporate and personal realms! Check out this video and you will like it, guaranhtee!!
