"THINK" SERIES: PART 6 - "WHATEVER IS TRUE"

THINK BIBLICALLY - #1 

" Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy—meditate on these things". (Philippians 4:8)

In John 18:38, Pontius Pilate encounters the bruised and brutalized Jesus for the first time and asks the eternal question "Quid Est Veritas" (Latin/Roman for What is Truth) — which you may recall from the stunning scene below from "The Passion of the Christ." 

Significantly, the first thing listed in the Bible for "whatever things..." we MUST consider to live and think biblically is Truth. Each item listed here deserves its own in-depth examination. The concept of Truth is primary, and today, there is so much confusion that only the wise will shine. Only the born-again will recognize Biblical Truth.

The world does not recognize Absolute Truth. For the unredeemed, and you hear it all the time, people should "live their own truth" or "you do you"....and other such inane, meaningless catchphrases. This trend began in Genesis Chapter 3 where the Devil delivered the first lie to deceive mankind and it never stopped. It ramped up in the free love/no responsibility 1960s and 1970s with the "I'm OK, You're OK" movement. Today it has become religion to the unsaved Religious Left to call/brand/tag anyone who believes in Absolute Truth, as hateful, intolerant, stupid, mindless,or worse for believing the following:

-  That the Bible is true, inerrant and the 100% closed Word of God.

-  That every true professing Christian MUST believe what is written in Genesis Chapters 1-11, and Who God is before he or she can truly call themselves a bible-believing Christian.

-  That God created the Heavens and the Earth in six (6) 24-hour days and the earth is less than 7,000 years old. He is Creator and there is no such thing as Evolution.

-  That the Triune God, Who is God in three persons (Father, Son, and Holy Spirit) has always existed in eternity past and always will, even when this current world system is destroyed and remade.

-  That Jesus Christ is the Savior of the World, the only Way to Heaven, and His Holy Spirit only indwells those who have repented of their sins and accepted Him as Lord of their lives.

-  That Jesus was born of a virgin woman, by the Sovereign Plan and Will of God the Father, into a couple from the lineage of King David, in Bethlehem as prophesied in Micah 5:2.

-  That Jesus the Man, Who never sinned in His 33 years on earth; never gave up His Divinity; was both God and Man; taught what is recorded in the Gospels and then was killed by evil men. That was allowed to happen, again by the pre-determined plan of God as a payment for our sins.

-  That Jesus was crucified on the Passover that year, and rose from the Tomb on Resurrection Sunday, just as He had said, to fulfill God's plan. He ascended to the Throne on the Right Hand of God The Father, from Where He reigns today and forever more, amen.

In brief, these are the essentials and basics we must believe, in order proceed with comprehending all Scripture. These essentials are what comprise Truth, i.e. Absolute Truth, Objective Truth. Anything else is a lie.

Modern archaeology has been proving, almost weekly, that the events and places recorded in Sola Scriptura - the Bible alone are 100% true. In the early 1980's when Mt. St. Helens in the state of Washington erupted (more on that in future posts or videos); within years, coal was formed, which confounded atheist scientists who believe it takes thousands of years to create even one inch of coal, and the layers of lava basically showed up Evolution to be the fraud that it is (more on that later as well).

As a man thinketh, so is he. When we are confronted by the world which says "absolute truth" does not exist. They have made an Absolute statement by declaring such a thing. Under the terms of logic, therefore, their argument is easily dismissed and thrown into the dustbin of history, because they have contradicted themselves and are not even doing their own subjective analysis to "you do you".  

Jesus is the Way, the Truth, the Life - absolutely. We stand on that, forever and ever, against the wind and against the World. If we are to think Biblical - whatever things are True, we absolutely believe. Amen.

NOW, FAITH IS: PART 3 - "WE BELIEVE THE INVISIBLE..THE INVINCIBLE...THE INEVITABLE"

By faith we understand that the universe was created by the word of God, so that what is seen was not made out of things that are visible (Hebrews 11:3)

It takes more faith to be an atheist than it does to be a bible-trusting and believing Christian, or follower of Jesus Christ.

To be an atheist means a person has to not just deny their existence but every single thing around them.

To be an atheist, a person has to ignore not just the incredible skies, galaxies and heavenly systems above them, but the rivers which flow into the sea which never overflow.

To be an atheist, a person has to set their entire brain and mind aside and believe one day, nothing existed that there was a huge “big bang” and order came from utter darkness or some such evolutionary fiction.

To be an atheist, a person – some of them so-called scientists who will never okay an experiment, in their own labs, without observing and testing it – have to set their minds, soul and more aside to believe a walking, thinking, feeling two legged human being was a fish or a monkey who “evolved’. Again, this without any scientific proof or their so-called “missing link”.

As an example of inconsistency and worldly folly, let us take the example of the iPhone. It took the Apple Corporation and Steve Jobs, its co-creator, years to come up with a small hand-held computer with and App on it that functions as an actual phone. The majority of the iPhone is a combination of camera, computerized chips which communicate with satellites and applications which bring in all kinds of social media…and more. All of this required fine detailed work of sometimes years, from technicians and high end computer programmers. Not one thing was released that did not past quality control and specifications. Even after the units go public, constant work has to be done by the Apple programmers and techs to maintain their iPhones and their operating systems. Modern men will pay such intense details to these sort of things, but the things which really matter – human life, nature, the galaxies and universe in addition to all matters concerning daily life on planet earth.

Romans 1:18-23 says the following "For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who by their unrighteousness suppress the truth. For what can be known about God is plain to them, because God has shown it to them. For his invisible attributes, namely, his eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly perceived, ever since the creation of the world, in the things that have been made. So they are without excuse.

For although they knew God, they did not honor him as God or give thanks to him, but they became futile in their thinking, and their foolish hearts were darkened. Claiming to be wise, they became fools, and exchanged the glory of the immortal God for images resembling mortal man and birds and animals and creeping things.

We, who are embedded into the Kingdom know the Truth about Creation. Even if the mechanics are not available to be shared, on this side of Glory, the Holy Spirit within us testifies to the Author of Creation - Yahweh - Jesus, the Son of God. Anyone who denies these Truths, will do well to consider the passage from Romans 1:18-23 and ponder the Coming Day of The Lord, when all will be judged and answered.  

THE PRAYER OF MOSES - PART 7

10 The days of our lives are seventy years; and if by reason of strength they are eighty years, yet their boast is only labor and sorrow; for it is soon cut off, and we fly away.
11 Who knows the power of Your anger? For as the fear of You, so is Your wrath.
12 So teach us to number our days,  that we may gain a heart of wisdom.....(Psalm 90:10-12)
Any glance at the obituaries in any local newspaper would show its usual share of senior citizens who have passed on into eternity, after long productive lives. However, on an increasing basis, a disturbing trend has developed over the last two decades as more and more younger people are moving into eternity in their 20's, 30's and 40's. I have known some of them.

Judging from the brief synopsis of their lives and legacies,  the chief end of the younger set seems to be a whole lot of self-gratification and almost nothing of any eternal value. Most of them do not even have a Christian burial. They are mostly cremated now and "celebration of life" in taverns, restaurants or banquet halls are increasingly the norm. Their apparently main accomplishments in life seem to include things like "he was a loyal St. Louis Cardinals and NASCAR fan"....or "she loved pets and volunteered tirelessly at the local animal shelter"....or  so and so "loved family picnics, backyard barbecues and feeding ducks in the park".

What does all of this mean, in relation to what the Bible says in these verses (Psalm 90:10-12)? It most definitely shows us that the normal nice folks next door and down the street, while susceptible to the same uncertainties of life, which you and I possess, are oblivious to what the next stage of life holds for them.  As previously stated, mankind was created to live forever. The choice is up to the individual WHERE their eternity lies. By the time this current age expires, which it will, NOBODY could use the excuse before God that they never heard of God, Jesus or the plan of eternal salvation.

Before the great Flood in Genesis 6, of which there is ample evidence (Grand Canyon, rock formation etc), people lived hundreds of years. However, the sheer volume of water flooding the earth, altered the eco-systems to the point where, apart from Noah who lived a couple hundred years after the Flood subsided, the atmosphere (and God) only allowed a lifespan of around 120 or so years. Abraham lived 176 years before he went into Eternity. Moses was stronger at 120 when God took him, than most 40 year olds are today. The average lifespan in the 1800's was hardly 35-40 years yet today, due to excellent medical care, we can now live into our 80's and 90's.

In the long run, the numbers are not as important as our preparation to meet our Maker.  Additionally, the demands of modern life are such that hope is a premium. The cost of living and/or providing for a family leave many to wonder if "this is all there is".  When you parallel this to the increasing number of  "nones" (those with no religious or "faith") - they are correct - there is no Hope. There is no Hope because they refuse to see the evidence of God all around them in Creation and the still on-going proclamation of the Gospel from street corners and church pulpits. We can blame the culture, churches and conmen from Charles Darwin to Marx to the new Buddhist craze of "meditation" etc. But the fault, as we know from the prompting of the Holy Spirit, Who indwells Christians, that the problem is sin.

Sin faces the Wrath of God. The nice couple in the 40's who perished together in a motorcycle accident, as friendly and hard-working as they were in their community, will face eternal separation from God as much as the 70 year old pastor who was never born again, but faked his way through life with people thinking he was such a godly man!  The nice grandmother who volunteers in the small town library or the forty year old social worker who specializes in helping people access needed benefits for her hungry toddlers will face the anger of God one day, for rejecting the Gospel and staying at arms' length from the Everlasting Arms which wanted to hold and love them.

So given the fact that the majority of mankind, whether they perished when a bridge collapses in China or an earthquake kills 350 in Ecuador or another scaffold collapses outside a half-finished skyscraper in Seattle,  will have no standing before God, what can be done?

Verse 12 tells us "teach us to number our days".  The original word for "number" is the Hebrew word "manah". Basically, God is encouraging us through this portion of Moses' His Prophet's prayer to make every day of our lives count! Not just that, but we have the opportunity to approach God to ask Him HOW to make it happen. "Teach us" means "God, I have no clue how to do this, can you help me make something out of my life, to make a difference to someone else's life which can bring meaning both them and me, please? Teach me, oh God, how to do this thing called life. I feel so useless, in vain search of meaningful thoughts and actions and feel as if all I do is work, sleep, eat, watch TV, go to ball games and such. Help me oh, God."

This is guaranteed to work....but there is one catch. God does not hear the prayer of an unrighteous or unsaved person. This cry and appeal to Holy God only works if your life is found in Christ, your sins are forgiven and you are a real Christian, which Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord.

The second part of verse 12 is "that we may gain a heart of wisdom". The Wisdom of the knowledge of God implied here is "chokmah" or true wisdom, which starts with knowing God, fearing Him in the right way and wanting to seek and serve Him daily. This is what brings meaning to our lives - being wise in the Ways, Works and Wonders of God. Hence, this heart of wisdom can only come from knowing Him....and we know Him from knowing His Word - reading, studying and understanding the Scriptures. Verse 12 is calling us to come to God to ask for a realization of some of His Wisdom that we may be focused and disciplined in our approach to life.

This may seem easier to speak about than to put into practice. However, it is a common sense approach to these fleeting years on earth. It used to be when we were little kids that the summer months seemed to last forever. Now, even young people comment how fast the years are flying by. This can be compared to the last few sheets on a roll of paper towels where those last sheets of Bounty or whatever, fly right off the roll - then it's over.

Life is like this, for us as well as all mankind. The end of all things approaches quickly. Therefore, it is very wise to be prepared no matter how young or old, whether 17 or 70, to stand before God. The question is - how prepared are we?

JESUS IS THE REAL CLIMATE CHANGER - NOT MERE MORTALS

In these last days, where every man (and woman) does what is right in their own eyes, we see increasing tendencies in people, including even somereligious leaders, to assume God's power unto themselves. Some do it without knowledge. They lack knowledge because they know not the One Who gives true knowledge. 

The Bible says at the beginning of the Wisdom Book of Proverbs that "the fear of the Lord is the beginning of Knowledge". The reason we have no knowledge in the world today is there is absolutely no Fear and Awe of God. Even with some of today's Christian "leaders", you can see it in their secular TV interviews where they fail to defend the Truth of the Word of God and the Gospel and weasel around the topics of sin, salvation and Satan.  In the religion of Climate Change (formerly known as Global Warming), more and more of professing Christians are falling for an untruth because they do not know the Scriptures of the One Who inspired and wrote it. Those of us who are followers of Yahweh, the Great I am, know that only He can change the climate, the winds, the weather because He created them all.

When Jesus rebuked the winds after the disciples woke Him up in the middle of the storm as He slept on a pillow, those winds feared Him and stopped. "They came to Jesus and woke Him up, saying, "Master, Master, we are perishing!" And He got up and rebuked the wind and the surging waves, and they stopped, and it became calm. And He said to them, "Where is your faith?" They were fearful and amazed, saying to one another, "Who then is this, that He commands even the winds and the water, and they obey Him?" (Luke 8:24).

All creation worships Him. Yet, increasingly and unfortunately, are dismissing His claims as Creator and Sovereign God over all. This mindset of "man-made climate change" leaves the Creator completely out of the picture and creates a god out of mortal men who now think they have the solutions to things they know nothing of, hereby overruling the Sovereignty of Holy God. 

Which person today can create a snowflake, a rain drop or an apple on a tree? Who can create a mountain and the elk or mountain goat to inhabit it, thereof? Who can fill the sea with fish, and even when natural fossil fuels (called oil) seeps out of the ocean bed, those same seas cleans and restores themselves? Who can describe how every part of the human eye was created and who create sight in the blind? No one can. There is no one.  Even the god of the lost - Charles Darwin doubted his own theory of evolution when he said "to suppose that the eye with all its inimitable contrivances for adjusting the focus to different distances, for admitting different amounts of light, and for the correction of spherical and chromatic aberration, could have been formed by natural selection, seems, I confess, absurd in the highest degree...The difficulty of believing that a perfect and complex eye could be formed by natural selection, though insuperable by our imagination, should not be considered subversive of the theory.” (A broken clock is right twice a day).

While we expect non-believers to act, sound and behave like unbelievers, what is really troubling are today's celebrity preachers - are not even speaking the Truth about any of this. Their silence is acquiesence to it, in a way.  
There are so many Bible passages from Genesis and through the New Testament that these preachers have no excuse for not proclaiming Truth and standing ON the Truth. The Truth is as plain as day. What Creation does not explain in Genesis Chapters 1 and 2 on Creation, the first book of the Bible ever written – the Book of Job – explains in Job chapters 38-41. (Watch the video below on Creation). God is very clear as He tells Job about the storehouses of the snow and hail; the lightning and winds. God fills in more details on dinosaurs; the great Leviathan fish; the entire Galaxy of stars and their names and more. Yet, most, if not all of these modern American and western celebrity speakers; preachers and pastors would say nothing about that as young children are brainwashed into thinking that they came from an ape or some non-existent “Big Bang” as being responsible for them being here.  These same western church leaders then complain that young people are walking away from Christianity as, they lose members.  Instead of looking at their own modus operandi, they proceed to hire marketing gurus to develop more useless programs which end up creating MORE unbelievers! This is more than a travesty. This is unforgiveable. It reminds me of millstones and neckties. But that is another story.

This is the foundation for the confusion about who controls the Climate. Born-again, spirit-led believers and students of the Bible instinctively know who is owns, controls and directs all the affairs of mankind – GOD. Almighty God, King of the Universe Who will show His Mighty Hand one day soon, is Lord of EVERYTHING. HE IS LORD OF EVERYTHING, NOW. He is Lord not then but NOW. He owns the back 40 in Odessa, Texas and the frozen tundra north of Alaska. He owns the land some Saudi king has his worldly palace on and the majestic snows of Kilimanjaro. He owns the ice that stops foolish ships in Antarctica and the heights of Mount Everest. He owns Vatican City; New York City and Diverse City, USA. He owns it all. What is mere man, whether he is a priest, politician, CEO or scientist, before the Power and Majesty of Holy God? 

Those who question the Creator and His Sovereignty would do well to see where this "man-made climate change" movement is heading - doubting the Power and Role of God in Creation. It is so dangerous that it can lead to so many people doubting their faith and eventually walking away from Jesus as we see in increasing numbers daily. It all started when mortal men first started promoting earth worship and worship of the Creation rather than the Creator Jesus. Here is what God has to say about this: For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead, so that they are without excuse, because, although they knew God, they did not glorify Him as God, nor were thankful, but became futile in their thoughts, and their foolish hearts were darkened. Professing to be wise, they became fools, and changed the glory of the incorruptible God into an image made like corruptible man—and birds and four-footed animals and creeping things. (Romans 1:20-23)

In all of this, one thing is constant - Jesus (Yahweh) is the King. He created all things and all things were created by and for Him. He controls that which He has created and that includes - the Wind, the Rain, the Snow, the Storms and all thereof. He controls the Climate and changes it as He pleases. It was so, IS SO, and will always be.

NATIONAL DAY OF PRAYER TODAY - DAY 5 of 5 DAYS OF PRAYER

FIVE DAYS OF PRAYER (SUNDAY MAY 3- THURSDAY MAY 7, 2015)

8 Let all the earth fear the Lord;

Let all the inhabitants of the world stand in awe of Him.

9 For He spoke, and it was done;

He commanded, and it stood fast.

10 The Lord nullifies the counsel of the nations;

He frustrates the plans of the peoples.

11 The counsel of the Lord stands forever,

The plans of His heart from generation to generation.

12 Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord,

The people whom He has chosen for His own inheritance. (Psalm 33:8-12)

Oh Most Heavenly, Kind, Gracious and ever-loving Father, we have lost our fear of You, no longer stand in awe of You and disrespect You at every turn. In fact, Great God of Heaven, we are more in awe of ourselves and who we think we are, how good and powerful we are when we are nothing but dust dressed in filthy rags, on our way to perdition as a people, who have completely lost our minds and our ways.

Father, our Families have failed You. We have become just like the world inside as well as outside. We have allowed garbage into our homes via the television sets instead of turning it off. We get caught up in the latest crazes and waste money on them. We have let family hour go where we cease to communicate with our children about what is going on in our schools and their lives. We no longer train up a child in the way he or she should go, so they will not depart from it. We don't do those things because we are lax in our personal prayer and devotional lives to You, Almighty God. We now longer make the Bible the cornerstone on which we build the foundation of our homes, still we call ourselves Christians and drive up to Starbucks on the way to church so we can put on a nice show on Sunday mornings. There is no shame anymore as the inside of some of these youth groups are no different than what goes on inside a secular malt shop or drive-in movie. Lord have mercy on our families! Christ and His Righteousness no longer seems to be the Master of our Homes. We repent of that and it stops today. We return to our first love and the original mission of the family, which is to be united in Christ and Godly, missional and focused on You, in Jesus' Strong Name, amen.

Sovereign God, King of the Universe, why do these nations rage and the corrupt evil people of this world imagine a vain thing. Like Lucifer in Isaiah 14, they have assumed unto themselves at the United Nations, in presidential palaces and houses of power, in media halls and colleges, the vain deception that it is NOT YOU Who are in control but man. This is the same deception which led to the evil one's fall with one third of the angels that You are not sovereign over anything at all, in fact they shove the lie of evolution and climate change into the minds of children, turning them from you, hour after hour, day after day until our young people can find no purpose in their lives and seek it in the man-made systems and pleasures which leadeth to destruction. We know You said it would be better if a millstone were put around the necks of those miscreants and they be cast to the bottom of the sea for misleading Your little ones, but they have no respect for You as they blaspheme Your Name and in fact, worship other pagan non-existent gods, protect those idols and then persecute and kill Your saints in the Middle East and everywhere else. They brainwash even small children now, with sensual matters of the flesh which Thou hast ordained for married adults. Lord, have mercy on our children and the generations to come, if You tarry.

Lord, this nation was built on religious freedom by authentic women and men of God who risked their lives in their former homes, to sail the deep blue and create the greatest country which ever was. America was synonymous with Christianity for a century, and was blessed with untold riches in resources, people and ingenuity. But now, we have lost our way, as our religious leaders are hiding in their posh caves, behind their BMW's and $65 million dollar aircraft and ministries, pretending to speak for You, while the nation is heading straight into hell. Father, oh Most Powerful and Great God, we repent and submit to the Judgment of drought, famine and disease which are coming our way, and is already here in California and elsewhere, and seek to return to You. On behalf of the remnant of our fellow believers, we ask forgiveness for turning away from You and following after this seedy culture when Christ is all we need, and all sufficient for us. Even if they say we cannot say His Name in public, He lives in our hearts and the hearts of all who are saved by Him, so let us live in such a manner than they will know we are Christians by our love, in Jesus' Name, amen.

Lord Your bride the church has failed You. We let others do what you called us to do, and they made slaves to men for their meager bread and row paneled houses instead of making servants for the King. We have developed programs to feed our egos and grow men's kingdoms instead of telling of the Kingdom of God. We have preached fell good messages so people giving money won't go to the other "tickle-your-ears" church with the fancy coffee and pastry down the street and then put it on TV for other people to be misled. We have ceased making disciples and holding prayer services to instead have fancy conferences and seminars to tell ourselves how smart we are. We have ceased from proclaiming the urgency and evil of the times and instead are telling people, who sit in comfortable pew chairs, that Jesus is coming any minute, so we can just keep sitting there. There is no love for the lost, no passion or hunger to help the hurting and the hopeless and most times not even a prayer for the persecuted. Lord, we are completely ashamed and embarassed to even look to Heaven  and cry out to you, because we are part of churches who do all of the above and more. We repent, right now, in the Mighty Name of Jesus, for all our short-comings. May this insane and purposeful failure to obey You, cease this day and may we according to Your Will, Word and Statutes, now and always remain, abide and walk with You, surrendering our lives to You, in the Name of the Messiah, Jesus the King, amen. 

THIRTY ONE DAYS OF PRAYER AND THE WORD:JANUARY 1-31, 2015 THEME: "ABIDE"

DAY THREE:

VERSE: 

Anyone who goes too far and does not abide in the teaching of Christ, does not have God; the one who abides in the teaching, he has both the Father and the Son....(2 John 1:9)

PRAYER:
Heavenly Father, we thank Thee for all Thy mercies and Thy compassions which never fail, so great is Thy Faithfulness to Thy promises and Thy Word....and forever it shall thus be. Lord God Almighty, King of the Universe Who giveth life and liberty to all the captives who lay themselves before Thee and Thy Throne in Heaven, we confess to falling short and transgressing against ALL Thy statutes and commands even after Thy hast redeemed us from the pit.

We are a fallen people, with fallen nature who are embedded with the Nature of Christ which replaced the dying Adamic Nature, yet sometimes some of us sometimes sin and fall short of the Glory of God. We repent and ask forgiveness to Thee, in the wee morning hour when our minds and bodies are refreshed by Your Creation and Your Creator as we rest and abide under the shadow of Your Wings.  

But Lord, many of those who call themselves by YOUR Name and all of the dying world with its systems and religions have already gone too far and stepped outside of the Tabernacle which contains the True Teachings of Christ.

They have denied the Creator and called it the big bang where they have insulted You to their loss, by calling the Work of Your Hands "something coming out of nothing". Even some in Your church say they can believe in that lie and be called by the Name of Christ, they have blasphemed the Savior.
They have diluted Your teachings, as found in the Full Counsel of 66 Books written by the 40 authors You chose to transmit Your Scriptures, via the Holy Spirit and they have adapted it to the perversion and evil of the times, Even those who hate you are more familiar with Your Word and how to twist it to oppress others.
They have destroyed families and morals and corrupted generation after generation by taking Christ's Teachings on the Mount (Matthew chapters 5-7) and either completely ignored them, or rewritten them or manipulated them into man's evil philosophies of government and social policy.

They gone too far, Oh Lord, because the Word of Christ and the Spirit of Christ never rejuvenated them or brought about the New Man, through conversion from the dominion of darkness into the Kingdom of His Marvelous Light. They await the punishment of Matthew 7:21-23 where the Christ, in Whom they never abide will declare to them "depart from Me, I never knew you". But we, oh Lord, to whom Judgment will commence in the House of the Lord, first, may we be found faithful and true to the Master's Teachings. Thy Word, oh Lord, is written forever in the Heavens, and because of the Saving Power of Jesus Christ, His Work on the Cross and His offer to us, we are able to read the stitches on the fastball and read the pure Word of God now written and sealed on and in our hearts. We abide in that Truth,  We rest in that assurance of the Promise that by accepting EVERY WORD OF EVERY PHRASE OF EVERY VERSE OF EVERY CHAPTER of Scripture, that we can abide and dwell in Your Holy and Wonderful Presence, even while here on earth, as we prepare for that day when we see You Face to face and live there forever more, through Christ our Soon Coming King. NOTHING FROM NOTHING LEAVES NOTHING

....is actually part of a lyric from the old Billy Preston song "Nothing from Nothing" (1975). This word from the "Fifth Beatle", who was given that title due to the few gigs he had with the British pop group aptly described what the "Big Bang" is really all about.

Museum Founder Ken Ham and the former engineer from Boeing and well known atheist Bill Nye, the former TV Science Guy, the debate on Creation, Evolution and the Big Bang is raging once again. This is a debate which will never die or go away, until the Return of Jesus Christ removes all doubt - literally!

What is particularly troubling to many of us who personally know and believe the Literal Truth of God and His Word is not the insults from Bill Nye that we put our faith in an ancient text written in "American English", but that so many self-described Christians think they can believe in both Creation and Evolution. While Bill Nye is blaspheming the Lord by repeatedly doing the exact thing the pharisees did, before Jesus condemned them all in Matthew 23, people who say they are Christians are denying the Word themselves, when they - like those in the Emergent Church - say it is "the Bible plus" or "Jesus plus"...evolution.

A. To walk in the two worlds, which modern liberals in the church have to do, in order to hold that belief, rejects the Creation story of the Book of Genesis. Right off the bat, under terms of logic, this discounts the rest of their so-called belief if they then claim to believe only Jesus' "Sermon on the Mount" or their selective out-of-context "judge not less ye be judged" or 1 Corinthians 13 "The Love Chapter".  The man or woman who rejects Christ outright is actually more honest than this kind of "a la mode" Cafeteria Christianity. In order words, there is no such thing as selective belief in the Word of God. Why? Jesus is the Word (Logos) and it is written in John 1, 1 John 1 and Revelation 19:13. The written Word of God is true. It is 66 books written over a period of 1600 yeras by 40 authors, most of whom did not know each other. It is one seamless proven story from beginning to end - about the same Person - Jesus!

B. To walk in two worlds, modern and misled evangelicals have to have bought into the lie that you can influence the culture by "lifestyle" when the opposite happens. They buy this lifestyle lie because they do not know the Truth of Jesus, or are afraid to mention the Name of Jesus, or in most case - don't even know Jesus as Lord and Savior! These young people have been indoctrinated into believing in evolution and modern philosophy are truer than the air they breathe and are not even allowed to think critically anymore. The majority are taught not to question where these things came from, because "the evolution matter is "settled"". They do not even know that the Father of Evolution - Charles Darwin, a failed seminary student, said repeatedly in his THEORY that "If it could be demonstrated that any complex organ existed, which could not possibly have been formed by numerous, successive, slight modifications, my theory would absolutely break down. But I can find out no such case...(while trying to figure out the complexity of the human eye).

They do not know that some of the biggest villains in history misused Darwin's theory to justify their agendas - from Margaret Sanger (who started Planned Parenthood), to Adolph Hitler in his book "Mein Kampf" to Eric Harris and Dylan Kleybold who are still talked about almost two decades after their 1999 shooting spree at Columbine High School in Colorado. Both young men wore T shirts which had Darwin's "Natural Selection" written on it.

They do not know the made up hoax about the "Missing Link" or the PILTDOWN MAN, one of the biggest lies in human history. This is from my own blog post on "Seven Things God Hates" (click here): The Piltdown Man is one of the longest run false testimonies ever about the origins of man. The Word clearly states that it was God Who made man in His own image. In the same way, a man named Charles Dawson created his own false mechanism. The fraud which last for more than 40 years - the longest running "scientific" falsehood in history - began when Dawson said he was "given" the remains of a "being" found in the quarry at Pilton, Sussex County in India. These remains of the secular "being" confirmed to some that here indeed was the "missing link".

For four decades - lies after lies after lies abounded in the scientific/academic community.  All kinds of study and illogical reasoning were imputed to this so called Piltdown Man. That is, until the quiet investigation of this led to a big exposure in 1953 in TIME magazine. The Piltdown man was the Hoax of the Century! For four decades, the world's academic community thought their "missing link" of the bridge between apes and humans had been found. IT TURNED OUT TO BE NOTHING MORE THAN A WELL CRAFTED, DECEPTIVELY FILED AND STAINED PARTS OF A FULL DEVELOPED 600 year old HUMAN SKULL AND A JAWBONE OF AN ORANGUTAN!!! It was carefully crafted to deceive....to be a false witness to the lie of evolution, against the Truth of Creation.

When you teach a kid the demonic lie that they are descended from an ape, when no such proof exists and never will, you are actually oppressing the soul of a your fellow human being and destroying his/her self-worth as a loved and valued child of God. If you wish to know why there is so much hopelessness in western society - the richest and most advanced ever on this planet - look no further than their lack of Faith in the real Creator Who does not make junk or mistakes. Unfortunately for these many alive today, and those yet to be born, there are not many pastors/teachers or men like Ken Ham, Ray Comfort or Eric Hovind who will speak the Truth to these wonderful young folks, even if it means being called a crazy person by liberal people in bow ties and the media.

C. To walk in the world, modern evangelicals (since we already lost the liberal church to secular society) have to believe the lie of the "The Big Bang". The story of how a Jesuit priest from Belgium - Monsignor Georges Lemaitre - came to develop, promote and have his fiction validated by people who should know better, is both too long and stunning to include here.(Click here to read the full account). The only thing we need to know about Lemaitre and those who bought into this insult against Holy God - this: Lemaitre did NOT believe the Book of Genesis was literal about Creation! This is correct - a priest who did not believe the most crucial part of the Bible....the same Book of the Bible which contains the very signature of God the Creator right off the bat in Genesis 1:1 (see below) the letters Aleph Tav (e t).

The fact that Lemaitre's Big Bang theory is now being used to brainwash society, defies logic and just plain old common sense. Forget all the expanding universe and his math formula debates with Albert Einstein and his experiences with Hubble. In fact, I think Eric Hovind did the best job explaining what certain religious theologians have to twist their unbiblical selves in a knot to try to defend. Please watch this one (1) minute video:

Ken Ham in his debate with the contentious Bill Nye on February 4 (you can watch his debate here) had one purpose in mind, which was to defend the basis for Creationism.  He did that with civil finesse and showed the remarkable link between God and true science. The post debate discussion has now taken on a life of its own and while Nye was judge the winner on technical debate points on style, Ken Ham is now on the circuit delivering the good message of Creation, the Truth and Validity of the Bible and belief in Jesus Christ which underlies all of this...and could even be said to be winning the post debate by so doing! What is now taking place, is that the true story and science of Creation, the Big Flood, the Fossil Record and the myth of carbon-dating are now getting out there to those who have been getting only one side of the story, increasingly, for over half a century!

This can only be good...and is much needed in order that people can come to the beneficial (to their own eternal souls) realization that one cannot walk on both sides of this fence. We are either for God and His Word.....or we are with Bill Nye and the rest of secular western world.

MAKING IT RIGHT, Part 1

JOB'S PRAYER OF REPENTANCE

From the beginning of time, people have thought, said, taught and proclaimed some of the most incorrect and even vile things about God.  All of this comes from one place – the father of lies. This created being told the first lie ever recorded in Genesis 3:4 (“surely you will not die”) and it has been downhill since.

There is the lie of Evolution and the Big Bang – “first there was nothing, and then a big bang happened”!! (huh??) There is the lie of Universalism, where God is whatever or whomever you proclaim him to be. There is lie after lie after lie. 

Some of them come from seminary trained pastors and preachers, who should know better. But they consider themselves and their earthly “ministries” so supremely important (mostly to their own financial well-being) that are willing to knowingly sacrifice the Eternal Abode and Rewards for the temporal riches of this world.

Job was NOT such a man. Job stood strong in his Faith in Yahweh (I am Who I am, or Jehovah, YHWH) from the beginning. Job said in Job 1:22 “He said, “Naked I came out of my mother’s womb, and naked shall I return there. Yahweh gave, and Yahweh has taken away. Blessed be Yahweh’s name.”

When his wife told him to curse God and die after all the tragedy and tribulation struck his life, Job refused. He said in Job 2:10 “But he said to her, “You speak as one of the foolish women would speak. What? Shall we receive good at the hand of God, and shall we not receive evil?” Then the Bible says “Job did not sin with this lips.”

Job loved God so much he said in Chapter 13:15 “Though He slays me, I will trust in Him”. Then he gave us one of the most famous verses of Scripture here ….and one which has even become a popular song “But as for me, I know that my Redeemer lives. In the end, He will stand upon the earth” (Job 19:25)

My Redeemer Lives! Nicole C. Mullen wrote a song on this same verse! Can you and I say these things in light of even one tenth of what Job experienced? Can we even stand in the face of a loved one (his wife) egging him on to act just like everybody else in this world? Can we? Yes, we can – if we have a repentant heart.

Repentance is a word you never hear in churches anymore for many reasons. The main reason is that in order to use the word “repentance”, it means the person actually has something –sin- of which to repent, period!

Job had his uninformed friends, whose diatribes, he had to listen to for most of the book of Job. His friends’ “advice” are not too unlike the pop psychology and self-help books or curricula you find in the front of today’s Christian bookstores!  Job was like the rest of us. He fell into the trap of developing his own concept of his awful situation and therein lay his error.

We too fall into wrong thinking about ourselves and our positional, temporal condition before God even when we know better. We then proceed to ascribe all kinds of attributes about the Great God of Heaven without true knowledge of the Holy. It is perfectly sound to have legitimate questions for the Creator and the Holy Spirit (if we are saved) will interpret and reveal the answers, in time. It is another thing to start proclaiming, writing, making YouTube videos based on things we will be held accountable for on Judgment Day, if they are not made right here on earth.

After almost three dozen chapters of this error, God did not answer Job as Job expected. Instead, God – YahWeh (or Jesus) Who spoke to Moses at the Bush and was not speaking to Job- came back with a series of the greatest questions ever. We will examine those questions next time.

 

There was no way Job could answer any of those questions.  He had no clue and no standing in the Ways of YahWeh. Still, he did have standing and favor before Him, in righteousness. Once Job realized that he was completely wrong, even in his pain and tribulation, he prayed one of the most significant prayers in the Bible.

As you and I look at this prayer, place yourself in it because we carry the same sin, in one form or another. Then repent and ask forgiveness from the Lord. Then watch how He uses you and I to bless and pray for someone else!

JOB’S PRAYER OF REPENTANCE (JOB 42:1-6 WORLD ENGLISH BIBLE)

¹ Then Job answered Yahweh, 

² “I know that You can do all things,

and that no purpose of Yours can be restrained.

³ You asked, ‘Who is this who hides counsel without knowledge?’

therefore I have uttered that which I did not understand,

things too wonderful for me, which I didn’t know.

⁴ You said, ‘Listen, now, and I will speak;

I will question you, and you will answer me.’

⁵ I had heard of You by the hearing of the ear,

but now my eye sees You.

⁶ Therefore I abhor myself,

and repent in dust and ashes.”

In Part 2 of this post, we will go deeper into this prayer and see what Job meant by verse 2, when he said “I know that You can do all things and that no purpose of Yours can be restrained”.

REMEMBER THE ROAD TO RESCUE AND RESTORATION

He divided the sea and caused them to pass through, And He made the waters stand up like a heap....Psalm 78:13

Many of our fellow citizens feel like the Egyptian army today that attempted to chase the Israelites through the Red Sea. 

There is an overwhelming feeling of being swamped by one wave of bad "stuff" after another. There is the bad news of a health report. 

There is the rising cost of food and fuel, which move a family to and from, from work to church. There is the hopelessness of the job search. 

There is the sad reality of grown adults moving back in with elderly parents, because the system has failed them. 

There is the reality of moral perversion destroying the culture and corrupting our children. 

There is the oppressive feeling of a boot on the neck of Freedom as satan shuts down every Biblical Truth in the public square, thus trampling on Galatians 5:1 - where Jesus Christ gave it all so we may be free. There is all of this and more.

When the Lord gave me this verse above, I had a quizzical look on my face, until I realized what He was telling me here. Throughout Psalm 78:6 the great next worship song writer in the Bible after King David - Asaph, is telling of the wonders and miracles of God, to a people who needed to be reminded of what He has done for them.  We are no different. In fact, in many respects we are worse of than those who had forgotten what God had brought them through 3000 years ago, because we have no excuse!

We have EVERY resource known to man to teach, encourage, edify (or build us up) in the wisdom and truth of God. We have every translation of the Bible -the Word of God - from the most literal to the dumbed down paraphrase called "The Message". We have it on TV in cartoons, videos, audio bibles, dramatized audio bibles and cd-roms. Just days ago, the popular web app YouVersion of the Bible just crossed 100 million downloads! Let me repeat that  - 100 million downloads. We have all of this. I confess to having Bibles everywhere myself - the car, my desk at work, one in almost every room of the house. I have an audio player of the dramatized version; an mp3 version; cds in my car of both Max McLean and the dramatized version.....I have no excuse either!

The poor Israelites had to be told the Word by a priest, who had the only copy of the Scroll, painstakingly handwritten on expensive parchment. Still they sinned, and we sin daily. Even worse, the majority of this country and the rest of this world has turned away from the Author of Truth...and the Author and Perfecter of our Faith. Just this one thing - you have 100 million downloads of the Bible, yet only 9% of adults in America with a Biblical worldview! This is less than 20 million people! The math does not add up.

What this means is we have a level of unbelief and lack of Trust in the ONLY One Who can save, deliver, redeem and restore.  We mouth His Name and shut down our hearts to true regeneration and conversion to His Way of Thinking (Isaiah 55:8). 

Think about what God just said in the verse above..."and He made the waters to stand up like a heap (Psalm 78:13b). Does the meaning of that really sink in? Forget the lost and stupid who deny God ever parted the Red Sea, we know He did. Forget the lost who believe in evolution and a big bang that nobody witnessed, hence it is unscientific. Forget the lost who promote evil and call it good. Their day is coming soon, to a Judgment Throne near you.

But YOU, remember THIS GOD - the One Who gives you breath. 

Remember THIS GOD - the One who gives you life daily (and can take it away).

Remember THIS GOD - the One Who gave you the food in your fridge and the fuel in your car.

Remember This GOD - the One Who healed you the last time you thought or heard you had an incurable disease.

Remember THIS GOD - the One Who brought you through when you thought you were dead in the water of financial difficulty, trouble with the kids or the bullies in the schoolyard.

Remember THIS GOD - the One Who rescued you from falling into immorality and pulled your fat out of the fire when you were tempted to go down a road of lust, adultery, fornication, abortion, rage, hatred, alcholism, drugs...and on and on.

Remember THIS GOD - the One Who will deal with those who hate Him, but would rather give them more time and Grace to see His Goodness....remember that God will you?
Remember THIS GOD - the One Who so loved this world that He gave His only Son, who begged three times in Gethsemane for the cup of God's wrath against sin, to be taken from Him, yet submitted to the Will of the Father, that we might be saved.

Remember THAT God, Who has, is and will continue to part the Red Sea of trouble and destruction - the way of escape, with a Road of Righteousness and deliverance SO BIG, you can drive a Mack Truck through it. Next time you and I doubt, let us remember that Divine Lord and Master! Why? It is for our own good....then, go back and read the entire Psalm 78 and marvel and The Goodness of our Great God in Heaven! AND REMEMBER - HE PARTS THE RED SEA OF OUR DESPAIR SO WE CAN GO THROUGH IT - ON THE DRY LAND...NO MUD, NO CLAY - BUT SMOOTH DRY PAVEMENT!

I will expound more about this in the coming days, but for now, let us just bask in the glow and warmth and joy of the Lord - Creator of Heaven and Earth. This is an evil day, when even people who call themselves Christians think they can believe in both Evolution and the Bible! Is that possible? No! Follow this blog in the coming days.

But for now, I wish to share the teaching from the very first PLUMBLINE show years ago, when the LORD led me to teach on not just the Creation, but the mechanism He put forth while doing it. While writing this brief introduction to my video, the following passage from Colossians 1 came to mine about the Creator. Please read it, as you watch this 27 minute video. 

"He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation. For by Him all things were created, in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities—all things were created through Him and for Him....(Colossians 1:15-16 ESV)
