BRITISH GIRL SCOUTS KICK GOD OUT - AMERICA NEXT

This past Spring of 2013 has surely opened a lot of eyes to the direction of both our youth and those who are leading them into oblivion. Quick on the heels of the Boy Scouts of America being just one step away from allowing gay scout leaders to their declining numbers across the country, comes the news that British Girl Guides (the equivalent of US Girl Scouts) have gone atheist!

While this is the natural (and sad) progression for the modern cultural diverse mess of the once great country which gave us George Whitfield, Spurgeon and Wesley - it is still a stunning development! The Guides are 103 years old and this move on June 19 to replace the promise to "love God" with  the promise to "be true to myself" and to "develop my beliefs" is narcissistic  phony and just ripe for these people to be set up to fail in life. If the best thing a young person, who absolutely needs moral and divine guidance, is to look inside themselves (under the direction of an secular humanist), the coming generations will be without any true hope.

When pressed, "Chief Guide Gill Slocombe protested that the organization consulted 40,000 before it made the change. She said that using God in the pledge “discouraged some girls and volunteers from joining,” and now the Guides could “reach out to girls and women who might not have considered guiding before, so that even more girls can benefit from everything guiding can offer.” Julie Bentley, the new CEO of the Guides, has called the Girl Guides the “ultimate feminist organization.” (Sourced here)

Did you catch that? They are not interested in bringing up young women with character, but in "reaching out to girls" who will become 'ultimate feminists' like their new CEO! But they are just following the lost Girl Scouts of America which is fast becoming an arm of Planned Parenthood. Boy Scouts in Britain (where scouting actually started) are considering dropping "God" too so watch for the geniuses who run the Boy Scouts of America in Dallas to follow suit! 

This decline in Great Britain is nothing new. To watch it slide down into the pit of hell is horrifying, but America is no different. American Atheists have been trying to get the BSA to do the same thing, and after watching how the Pentagon treats the rights of Christian soldiers, BSA is going to fold to the unbelieving left soon enough.

So what is the answer to all of this destruction of great institutions? The answer is FAITH! Faith, but not faith alone - action, that is - take action and pull your children out of these groups. Thankfully, some good families who were formerly in the Girl Scouts of America saw where they were heading and started American Heritage Girls. American Heritage Girls are safe from the corrupt left and their politicians and worthy to be joined. So is Frontier Girls.

For those sensible parents who also want to leave the Boy Scouts, visit your nearest Southern Baptist Church which has a youth group, and you can find a Royal Ambassador (RA) group for your son there. Now is the time to both walk in the world (since we live in it) but be separate from the evil therein, so that when we stand before Christ on Judgment Day, we will not like those who will hear "depart from Me, I never knew you" (Matthew 7:23) 

WHY ARE WE SO AFRAID?

Indeed, let no one who waits on You be ashamed; Let those be ashamed who deal treacherously without cause....

Psalm 25:3

One message has been impressed upon me since the Good Friday service I preached it early this year, and that is the theme of "Faith vs Fear". It happened again on Memorial Day weekend, when I was a guest preacher at a beautiful country church in Auburn, Illinois. What started off as a prepared word about the great Memorial Stones of Joshua 4:1-7, led back to the same theme - "Faith vs Fear".

Sure enough yesterday, I was having the same conversation now, three days in a row with different people from three different churches! The reason why this keeps coming back is so many good people are not just genuinely afraid by what they are experiencing in daily life, but they see and hear no hope coming from any of the places you would expect it from - churches, small groups, community organizations etc. No one I know really look up to political, academic or celebrity leaders and nobody should either. 

As we see traditional institution after traditional institution fall - whether it is the late great Boy Scouts of America; or perverted movies, books or music...or whether it is one mega-church pastor falling after another or so-called responsible adults indoctrinating our public school children with graphic sex 'education' instead of math and science - the wheels have come off the bus. One would be tempted to say "who can blame even Christians for being fearful about the present and the future".

Just this past month, the Barna Survey confirmed what we have been observing. The amount of "Nones" - those who have no faith in any belief system, has increased five fold in the past 50 years.  Because of the type of churches we run, we have run off our youth when they "escape" at age 18 as they see pastors more concerned with maintaining their fiefdom and holding on to tithers, than addressing the true needs of the congregation. The scary high numbers of those who say they will never return to church...and who have in fact, walked away from Jesus Christ, will be blamed in part on these church leaders - locally and nationally.

The gist of this brief post is not to bust on those who are falling short to teach the Sufficiency of Scripture to the flock, but to embark on, no matter how small, a drive to show us that we can be concerned without being fearful. The first thing we need to do is realize WHOSE we are.

First of all - are we even saved, redeemed and rejuvenated by the Holy Spirit...that is, are we born again? I can't even remember hearing a preacher use the word "rejuvenation" in the recent past...but this is what MUST happen. 

Secondly, after this fact is confirmed, we have to stand on the Fact that WE BELONG TO CHRIST! We do that by ensuring the Lordship in our lives. The cheap grace people have it all wrong and are in mortal danger unless they too bow to the Lordship of Jesus Christ because if He ain't Lord of your life, He ain't your Lord at all!

Thirdly, with that sense of belonging, we must stand on the verse above, which the Lord gave me as I began writing this - Psalm 25:3.  These three steps can begin the assault on reclaiming our Faith from Fearfulness because we arestanding up on the Rock of Christ!!!! We say we are "waiting on the Lord" (Isaiah 40:31), but then we clam up and act like Peter (who denied Christ three times) when things get heated up at the office, or the soccer/baseball field etc....when we should boldly proclaim WHO we are. I did not say be brash and obnoxious! Anyone studying the Life of Christ could NEVER say He was anything but gentle, kind and loving while being firm, powerful and Just!

But if we have these three things and are NOT ashamed of the Gospel, because it is the Power of God unto Salvation, God will take care of the second part of Psalm 25:3, which says "Let those be ashamed who deal treacherously without cause!" Ultimately, those are the ones who should be both ashamed and fearful - not us! They do not know it yet, but God has appointed a day when this too will be addressed!

So why are we so afraid? Well, because we are human! This is why Jesus Christ, the Creator of the World, poured Himself out of His Throne in Heaven and humbled Himself to be born as the GodMan, so He could identify with our emotions! This is why He sent His Own Spirit to live inside of us! You know it, I know it - He lives within my spiritual heart! We should be afraid for those who refuse to turn to the Lord as their Savior, but that is different from turning away from the One Who said "Remember, for I am with you, even unto the ends of the age (Matthew 28:20).

ALTERNATIVE TO THE BOY SCOUTS OF AMERICA?

LIBERALISM LED TO FORMATION OF AMERICAN HERITAGE GIRLS

So here we go again - yet another traditionally honorable institution which affects millions of families and young men in America - is about to be destroyed by men who have sold their souls to the social mores of the times; the pressure of selfish hedonist people and even, political leaders. This follows hard on the heels of people in authority ordering the Publishers of God's Word - the Tyndale Bible folks of Illinois - to pay for contraceptives and abortion pills!

There is no concern for the lives, emotional well-being and religious beliefs of the 99.9% of the families involved. Then with tin ears and no discernment, the leaders of the Boy Scouts of America (BSA) down in of all places - Texas - had the nerve to attempt to wiggle out of their outrageous decision by throwing the "states rights" type of proposal. Here is what their statement said on January 28, 2013 "BSA members and parents would be able to choose a local unit that best meets the needs of their families. The policy change under discussion would allow the religious, civic, or educational organizations that oversee and deliver Scouting to determine how to address this issue. The Boy Scouts would not, under any circumstances, dictate a position to units, members, or parents. Under this proposed policy, the BSA would not require any chartered organization to act in ways inconsistent with that organization's mission, principles, or religious beliefs,"  Deron Smith, BSA Director of Public Relations said to the CHRISTIAN POST.

That politically correct statement means absolutely nothing. All the BSA corporate leadership did here was open up poor little churches who host their local sons in troops, inside their buildings, endless targeting by the same people who caused this change in direction. There will be lawsuits filed against them by these people, who care not a wit for any boy scout because their focus is their own agenda. In towns and cities where there is no local church to host, Boy Scout troops will be thrown out of public buildings like schools, community centers etc unless the local Scout Leaders compromise their beliefs and their troop's moral integrity to the current prevailing ill-winds.

So what should the response be?

Well, thank God again, for the Southern Baptist Convention (SBC). Along with a few other people, including Cardinal Dolan of New York, the SBC has stood strong and exposed the BSA for trying to get them (the SBC) to not oppose this.  Therefore, first expect and massive exodus from the Boys Scouts of America. Expect several scouts, including current and past Eagles, to turn in their badges. While the political leadership shows its consent by its silence, the people will not allow their children to be used as pawns in this rigged chess game.

Secondly, it will not be long before enterprising Americans - who are Christians and grounded in traditional values - will create a new private organization like AMERICAN HERITAGE GIRLS (AHG). The AHG is growing by leaps and bounds ever since they rose out of the ashes the once thriving Girl Scouts of American when of a huge numbers of families who left. The Girl Scouts have been way ahead of BSA in selling out to the world. They allowed their troops to replace the word "God" from their guidebooks and banned even generic prayer. There are other controversies which are not worth mentioning here.

The new Boy Scout Organization have a template to follow here from AHG, which was founded by parents of West Chester, Ohio! AHG is now in 48 states and 7 other countries.
Here are some of the timeless and God-fearing values of American Heritage Girls, which will help families who will leave in an massive exodus from the Boy Scouts of America, in the very near future:

Clarity is further provided to the following terms: 

Purity – An AHG member is called to live a life of holiness, being pure of heart, mind, word and deed, reserving sexual activity for the sanctity of marriage; marriage being a lifelong commitment before God between a man and a woman.

Service – An AHG member is called to become a responsible member of their community and the world through selfless acts, which contribute to the welfare of others.

Stewardship – An AHG member is called to use their God given time, talents and money wisely.

Integrity – An AHG member is called to live a moral life, demonstrating the inward motivation to do what is right, regardless of the cost
