WLCF TV, established in Decatur, Illinois as a brand new affiliate (of the worldwide Christian Television Network) is beginning to see the fruits of its perseverance here in Central Illinois. Under the visionary care and guidance of General Manager Al Johnson II, WLCF has grown and is establishing its own footprint on the Christian TV market. More and more exciting and unique local ministries are beginning to make up a good portion of the programming on WLCF and my PLUMBLINE with BERNIE LUTCHMAN weekly TV program is part of it.

My PLUMBLINE show, which began as a Public Access show in 2008, has developed into a combination of pure cutting edge Expository Bible teaching Show with the common person like you and I in mind, and current issues through the lens of the Biblical Worldview. We reject the harsh preaching of some as well as the prosperity mumbo jumbo on most Christian TV and the pop psychology from some of America's famous "preachers".

A GOOD NAME IS BETTER THAN RICHES

PART 7/12 ...OR CHAPTER 7 ON THE BOOK OF ECCLESIASTES

So many people are losing their minds in the world today. The Culture of Celebrity delights in building people up, only to tear them down. Many get to the finish line of life, only to stumble right before the tape - thereby blowing it all. We live in a time when one's word does not seem to matter...where up is down and down is up.

It is and was never supposed to be like this. Hence the reason for my indepth TV series on the powerful Book of Ecclesiastes for the weekly Plumbline TV show. I went through a chapter per show, doing into the major themes and exhorting viewers to read the study the rest of the chapter themselves. 

Chapter 7 really spoke to me about a critical need for everyone alive today, about how to travel the highway of life. You can read the entire chapter 7 here after watching the next 26.5 minutes of a teaching on it

COMMANDMENT #6/10 - "YOU SHALL NOT COMMIT ADULTERY"

You shall not commit adultery (Exodus 20:14)
Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ also loved the church and gave Himself up for her (Ephesians 5:25)

God's ways and reasoning are not man's. He has said so, and we know so. God is pure, righteous, Holy, just. Man is evil, perverted, corrupt, selfish prideful. God is God. We ain't! 

There are two kinds of Adultery, and while God gave this original commandment in Exodus, He illustrates what He means and how man betrays Him, fully throughout the Old Testament and all the way to the end. The two kinds of adultery are physical and spiritual. The physical part is obvious. (See program below from my WLCF TV 45 Bible Teaching Show PLUMBLINE which is also shown every Friday on Comcast Access Channel 4 in Springfield, Il at 3am, 11am and 8pm CDT). Married people are supposed to be faithful to each other sexually and in their thoughts, according to the marriage vows in the eyes of God.

But the spiritual part is just as important. All through the Old Testament we see Israel prostituting themselves before pagan foreign gods. God has to send first Moses, then the Judges and finally the great prophets like Jeremiah, Ezekiel and Hosea among the many to speak against this vile evil. Modern Christianity is doing the same thing as carnal Christians (who are not disciples of Christ at all) follow the ways of the world in thought, word, deed, entertainment, politics and more.

Today's program, recorded in the Fall of 2012, examines this Sixth Commandment and the relevance of submitting and obeying His just command:
