PORNOGRAPHY CONQUERED IN NEW MOVIE "unDEFILED" - AVAILABLE NOW ON TUBI, AMAZON, APPLE TV

Suspense Movie Starring Former Pro-Baseball Player

"Pornography is Triggered by Worthlessness in the Brain Crippling 68% Church Going Men & 50% Pastors." - Psychologist Dr. Whisman & Pure Desire Ministries

NEW YORK CITY, NY, USA/EINPresswire.com/ --

Light of Life Film's director Matthew McCaulley, Outreach Pastor of 150 attendee Journey Church, Joplin MO, made an anti-pornography movie "unDEFILED" with
actor-former professional baseball player Bradford Haynes ("Stranger Things") who played pro-baseball for the Dodgers Organization. The filmmakers hope to aid men to conquer pornography addiction through the movie's story along with providing biblical resources in an 8-part video series, "Living unDEFILED," available for purchase at LivingUnDEFILED.com.

Plots from the movie come from Psychologist Dr. Kevin Whisman who has seen over 10,000 individuals in therapy. 50% have unwanted sexual thoughts and behaviors. 5000+ hours have been spent helping people recover from this epidemic. If a husband fails marriage, he often engages in porn from experiencing worthlessness and masculine identity depicted in movie clip https://www.lightoflifefilms.com/husband-fails-marriage.

"Guilt says I did bad, shame says I am bad," said Trevor Winsor of Pure Desire Ministries states.

Church leaders and film producers, Shannon Whitsett and Patty Mark, worked with McCaulley and his family, Daniel, and David, to write Dr. Whisman's research showcasing these pornography triggers throughout the suspenseful baseball backdrop in "unDEFILED." The script depicts worthlessness through Haynes character Mitch Jennings in a failing baseball career resulting in the inability to provide financially for his family. This leads to Jennings watching porn. The sale of a sex trafficking victim being sold is depicted when Zach Sale's ("Miracle from Heaven") character entices his fellow baseball teammate to get sexual fulfillment found in a run-down hotel. Watch clip https://www.lightoflifefilms.com/sex-trafficking-victim-being-sold. The team coach played by SAG Award Nominee Stelio Savante (Moses in “The Chosen”) works against this darkness speaking worth into the men.

Climatic moment of the film is when Jennings conquers his pornography addiction reaching for a Bible in his hotel after struggling to reopen a pornography site. Watch conquering porn movie clip https://www.lightoflifefilms.com/bible-conquers-pornography-addiction.

This story's plot opens the conversation about how men can escalate from pornography to in-person sexual encounters. These meet-ups are often with vulnerable young girls who are controlled through manipulation, drugs, and withholding food and other necessities. The estimated global profits of sex trafficking are $150 billion. Later in the film, the trafficked character, played by Red Letter Awards Nom'd Kalyn Elizabeth Wood ("Your Worst Nightmare") cries out, "You did this to me!" Watch clip https://www.lightoflifefilms.com/you-did-this-to-me as a response to this demand of men seeking sexual relief. Cory Kays ("Don't Say My Name") character gets addicted and takes his own life because of the pain of inadequacy.

"There are over 10,000 newly identified sex trafficking victims in the US each year with pornography creating one of the top demands," states National Human Trafficking Hotline.

Pure Desire Ministries exposes worthlessness stems from childhood. "unDEFILED" depicts through a compelling plot-point of baseball player Mitch being verbally abused by his father through his teenage years. "You're not good enough!" yells dad Jerry played by ICVM Crown Awards Best Actor Nominee Michael J. Patterson ('Running the Bases") depicted in clip https://www.lightoflifefilms.com/worthlessness-missing-home-plate-full-clip.

Stephanie Peterson ("Vindication") picked up two festival award nominations for Best Supporting Actress as Mitch's wife, Amber Jennings. She depicts the agony of not having food or milk to feed her kids and later discovers perceived sexual acts by her husband at a hotel. Jennings takes the children and separates them from the marriage. Watch clip https://www.lightoflifefilms.com/husband-fails-marriage.

"This visually shows how 'Pornography use increases the marital infidelity rate by more than 300%," as stated in an article by Mission Frontiers.

Pure Desire Ministries reveals that 68% of church-going men and 50% of pastors use pornography regularly within the secrets of their lives. An opposite perspective comes from a controversial podcaster Pearl Davis in an interview with celebrated journalist, Jason Whitlock, discussing the topic of pornography, "The real problem is women not sleeping with their husbands." Emerson Eggerich's NY Times Best-Selling book "Love & Respect" explains when women feel unloved by their husbands, they struggle to honor their man. This cycle leads to men feeling disrespected.

unDEFILED picked up a Best Picture win at the SoCal Film Awards, 15 festival award nominations at Red Letter Awards and The International Christian Film Festival. Award selection later 2024.

"unDEFILED" releases May 10, 2024 on Apple TV and Tubi and is available on Amazon Prime. Resources available at www.unDEFILEDmovie.com

FAITH ON TRIAL: MY DADDY IS IN HEAVEN..... A MOVIE REVIEW

There is a defining moment in every person’s life, where we come to a fork in the road. We can go the cute (an inaccurate) cliché route and “take it” or like most people under duress, the fork in the road can lead to despair. That moment came to a real person called Rebecca Crownover (then called Becca Smith) when she lost her husband Adam due to an ATV accident. The 2009 accident occurred late at night at her farm’s Annual July 4th Celebration, in the hard, tough Texas countryside.  Adam Smith's untimely death left Becca with their very young daughter, Acie, a farm and a whole lot of grief.

“My Daddy is in Heaven is a new movie created out of this troubled journey of Faith (and lack of) that came about as a result of this incident. The movie is produced by The Nasser Group. It is set for release on March 13, 2018, and based on a children’s book (published in 2012) by Rebecca Crownover. The entire adaptation of the book, as well as the human and other circumstances surrounding this life-changing personal trauma, is handled with delicate finesse by the movie producers and scriptwriters. If you love good scripting, here is one for you. Due to the tragedy in Becca’s life before the sudden loss of husband Adam, coming just a few years earlier, in the accidental train death of Adam’s father, it would take expert care and handling of such a delicate situation walk the fine line of telling the facts of such a huge family loss, while at the same time staying true to the message. If there is one thing you can see developing after Becca (Jenn Gotzon) loses the battle on her knees praying for Adam's life, is that there has to be more coming in this film, to which someone in the same situation can relate.

The casting choices were well done, as evidenced by the characters progressively becoming more intense and believable as the movie went on. Jenn Gotzon (God's Country, God's Not Dead 2, Doonby and more ) played the part of Rebecca (as Becca Smith) with so much emotion, you could tell she was all in, as far as being in character was concerned. Her counterpart was Corbin Bensen (L.A. Law, Major League II, and others), who played her old-school, hard-knuckled yet easy-going father. Bensen is now a staple in a lot of Christian or Faith-based movies.

According to the author of the book, on which this movie is based, she (Rebecca Crownover) published it to assist children in handling their grief, when there is a traumatic loss of a parent or a loved one very close. Over the years, the book has, but the author made a statement which was more a result or fruit of her trials. She said it is about “the ultimate message of peace and hope…..even though Acie’s dad left us early, God was not mean to us. He just had another plan for our lives”. By itself, all of this is true. However, what this new movie does is take the grieving person through a process, which is not easy at all to go through, at all. It had to be so, in order that the full story was told, with all its warts and bumps.

Jenn Gotzon’s character, Becca Smith (Rebecca Crownover) has one major crisis of Faith in God, after another, through much of the movie, until she comes to a place where the defining moment presented itself. After the death of Adam, armed with the realization that God had an entirely different plan than letting her husband live, Becca leaves her farm life and heads for the city to live with her long-lost best friend, June. June had shown up, by divine appointment earlier, but what happened with the both of these ladies trying to “live the good life” is always a recipe for disaster.

My guess is that a lot of people will see themselves in these two women, who spend a lot of time out on the town, drinking a variety of high-proof alcohol drinks – ALL AT ONCE. Eventually, these multiple drinking sprees resulted in something which could have ended with disastrous consequences. Becca escapes and runs directly into the moment where she has to confront the truth. Seeing a homeless man with a sign, which says “Show God’s Mercy”. This statement sets Becca (Jenn Gotzon) off and every ounce of hatred, disappointment and more she felt because God took her young husband away, came flying out. She not only blasphemes the Lord and insults the panhandler but accidentally strikes a patrolman, who heard the ruckus and appeared on the scene.

This naturally ends with Becca Smith in handcuffs, in front of the police lieutenant who, – and remember this is a true story – is a friend of her father’s. In fact, the cop was also at Becca’s wedding. He instinctively senses she has basically hit rock bottom in just about every facet of her life and mercifully lets her go.

After she realizes this, most likely due to her upbringing on a family farm, as a Sunday school teacher, Becca finally decides to return to her little daughter, her dad and her life on the farm. Only this time, she is taking the seemingly flaky best friend June with her. On the long bus trip back to her country farm, from the wild city life, an incident on the bus, where a young man overdosed on an opioid (a modern menace).

On that bus is a young musician, played the TC Stallings, the lead actor of the very popular movie “WAR ROOM”. The Stallings character realizes the young man is about to pass away and proceeds to share the most crucial parts of the gospel with him, in order that he may literally have a deathbed conversion. Fortunately (for him), the young man agrees, prompting  (Stallings) to lead all the passengers on the bus, in the Lord’s prayer. June has been watching all of this and it has such a profound effect on her, that she is not far from surrendering her life to Jesus Christ.

The principals were wonderful in this movie and  (Acie) was fabulous, indeed.  Her acting was mature beyond her years. There were a few lighthearted moments, but the serious message of the perseverance through tragedy got through loud clear.

Here is where I think this fast-moving family movie can be of tremendous value to people from all walks of life.  There is no one alive who has not had tragedy in their lives. The thing is when that defining moment comes where folks, in the depths of pain and despair,  are faced two choices, which choice is made. Many react like Becca Smith in “My Daddy is in Heaven”, when she turned her back temporarily on God. Unfortunately, most never come back. Maybe this movie will help put some perspective on tragedy when Faith comes under fire.  There is hope if we are open to it seeing the entire picture. Hope can only be found in God.

VERDICT: solid movie; great photography; fast-moving dialogue and good casting.
FIVE STARS.

"LOVE DIFFERENT" - THE MOVIE WITH A MOVEMENT MESSAGE

FAITH-BASED MOVIE REVIEW
There have been wonderful faith-based movies made by African-American producers like Tyler Perry, T.D. Jakes and others. However “Love Different” is a body of work by Producer/Director Anthony Hackett which defies a label and even a category. It is so woven with continuously flowing themes of humor, love, faith and human interaction that 94 minutes go by without you noticing.

“Love Different” tells the tale of a young Iowa born and bred woman (expertly portrayed by Christian actress Jenn Gotzon as Lindsay Walker) who accepts a job at an all-black consulting firm in Maryland.  Right off the bat, we know where this is heading. The humor and cultural clash immediately become evident, fueled by some excellent writing by Anthony Hackett and his team.

Lead Actress Jenn Gotzon
The head of the consulting firm, the affable Mr. Chamberlain, assigns his best consultant – JonNeque (Neque) Campbell to come alongside Lindsay Walker in order to give her a two day crash course in “Black Culture” after discerning that his new consultant may be unable to relate to her prospective new clientele! The humorous crash course in the culture fall under the rubric of “don’t try this at home, folks”.

However, while this is going on, a few subplots develop. One subplot involves  Neque’s  equally professional wife, a regular church-going woman, who is beginning to feel neglected. The second subplot revolves around the Jenn Gotzon character (Lindsay) and her parenting skills with her teenage son. Both main characters in this warm, humanity-enhancing film are individually competent in their careers, but are also works in progress – needing to “love differently”. Neque is in need of understanding his wife’s “love language” – attention. Lindsay’s need at this time is to be firmer in a phase of discipline with her rebellious but really obedient son, with tough love.
Actor/Director/Writer
Anthony Hacket
t

Apart from the obvious humorous situations  and scary moments,  there are some  intentional stereotypes which some of the general public may have of African American culture and life.  However, whether the Writer/Actor/Producer Anthony Hackett intended it or not, he hit on a powerful truth about the state of not just the inner city church, but youth ministry in general. When the mask Neque (the main character) was wearing fell away, after the two day crash course with Lindsay Walker, as to why he stopped going to church, it exposed a huge wound which has gone unattended for a generation now. This wound is the unattended to and gaping in the soul of young America.

The premise Anthony Hackett used to underscore the title of his movie is the actual project on which he and Jenn Gotzon (Lindsay) are supposed to be working. It revolves around a public relations campaign for a youth outreach program, of a traditional church. Like many of the churches in any city’s older neighborhoods in America, this church had lost most of its youth and sought out this consulting agency to handle its outreach optics.
WATCH TRAILER HERE OF "LOVE DIFFERENT":
As a lay minister/evangelist/event promoter who works across cultural lines in a city of about 120,000 in the Christian music and evangelism arena, I see the same world which “Love Different” addresses. It is universal. The Body of Christ has a generation of young people already gone because of the lack of love, truth and the Gospel.

If this movie can spark renewal and a reflective look at our human interaction, in a personal, social, work and community level, it would be a beautiful statement. Love Different can be more than just another cute, funny and inspiring faith-based movie, it can be a catalyst for some church leaders to look in the mirror and get moving back to our original mission. That mission was given by Christ – love God, love people, make disciples.

CHRISTIAN STAR SHINES BRIGHT - A FAITH TALK WITH JENN GOTZON

Jenn Gotzon is the most popular and in demand actress in America. The good news is she is an authentic Christian woman whose life and career has become a ministry, by extention.  In fact, with the increasing popularity of Christian Movie Ministries in Churches, in which I am also actively involved, Jenn has successfully launched into a new facet of her calling to be Christ's representative in film AND to explain it to the folks out there like you and I! The following is an interview with Jenn, a Pennsylvania native, who got her start in Ron Howard's Oscar-nominated production "FROST/NIXON" as President's Nixon's daughter. Jenn has been in two movies which were Oscar-nominated: Frost/Nixon and Alone Yet Not Alone.
If you are interested in booking Jenn Gotzon as a speaker or presenter at your organization or church, after reading this interview, please leave a comment and your information will be immediately directed to her. Thank you!
Bernie Lutchman

BL:  A lot of folks are seeing you, Jenn Gotzon, in an ever increasing number of Christian movies and you are now identified as the most visible actress of this genre.  You actually had your start in mainstream movies as Tricia Nixon in (Frost/Nixon). How and when did you transition from this to Christian movies?

JG:  My calling from the Lord is to make movies that can entertain, uplift and inspire hope (films that make you laugh, cry and go on a journey that only movies can do for the soul) and then through that journey of the story, prayerfully hope the characters I play relate to the audience leaving an impact in their lives to realize they too can overcome life's challenges like the character they are identifying with on-screen. Those movies I strive to align myself with films that have a Godly perspective, uplifting, family-friendly and have themes of redemption. I love Jesus with all my heart and enjoy playing characters in movie like the characters Jesus would hang out with and minister to. Even though, mostly all the movies I have done since Frost/Nixon are labeled "Faithbased" only a few of those are evangelical (with a church-based come to Jesus moment)... most are films that all audiences from all beliefs can enjoy and hopefully be attracted to the message woven with Biblical truths within the story of hope, unconditional love and overcoming the odds with God to find victory.
I'd like to be working in mainstream films that are like "The Blind Side" or "The Help" deemed of such artistic excellence they receive critical acclaim being nominated by the Academy. Not for the 'status' of an Oscar.. but because it is the mark or artistic excellence in the film making community. Id also love the movies to mainstream appeal worldwide as blockbuster hits so more people can be inspired by the love God has for us. I strive to seek after protagonist roles in scripts and productions of this caliber.

BL: You sometimes have 3 or 4 projects going at the same time. In fact you just finished your first feature comedy and have done cameos in God’s Not Dead II with more to come. How do you keep it all straight while remaining firmly grounded as the Christian woman and faithful daughter you are?

ONE OF JENN'S MANY
UPCOMING PROJECTS
JG:  That is so kind of you, though I am a work in progress daily striving to find
Jenn's Family, led by dad Ronnie (center) is her foundation
along with her faith
the balance of keeping good health, peace over my soul, balanced diet and continual spiritual fueling, while being rested... It is a challenge for me sometimes that my body sometimes stops functioning forcing me to rest. I rely often on my prayer team that I have set up via a private Facebook group. What has been helpful (when i prioritize time to ensure Im doing this) is waking up and the first thing I reach to is Jesus in prayer and as my mind starts waking up, I like reading a devotion from "Jesus Calling" and as I begin waking up, having a glass of water, hitting the shower, then I have a little breakfast and a latte as I carve out quiet time with the Lord which entails finding a beautiful view atmospherically of God's creation praising Him for His glory, asking God to guide my time and grow my wisdom reading the bible as I continue in the chapter I left off.

Currently, I am in 1 Corinthians and sometimes I will play the Bible on tape to

hear audibly the word.. I will also put on praise music that is lyrical and transition into prayer journaling where I praise God, seek forgiveness for anything that may be causing my soul separation with the Lord (thought life, anxiousness, fears, etc) and press into His throne room in my mind'eye imagining Jesus in front of me. Often I will ask the Lord for guidance and vision with images and I journal down what ideas are coming upon my heart. I then 'test the spirit' so say to ensure that is a God idea and not a 'my desire' idea. I've learned through my journey that when its a God inspired idea there is fruit... and abundant provision, peace, opportunities flow and there is a joy.... when its a 'my desire' idea... there tends to be strive, anxiousness, and me pushing through a wall vs the ease.. I ensure that i spend solid quiet time praying to God ever day before work because I look at the opportunity as a gift from God and i am just a vessel with the talents God created in me to reach out and be an encouragement to others however God may lead through the performance while filming or the fellowship on and off set. :)

"I strive to align myself with  films that have  a Godly
perspective, uplifting, family-friendly and have themes
of redemption" (JG)
BL:  Which brings me to what is really important, in terms of eternity and your relationship with God. When did you come to faith with Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior and how do you balance your walk with Christ, with your busy schedule?

JG:  My first time experiencing the physical, spiritual and emotional presence of Jesus Christ was when I attended a retreat in Steubenville, Ohio. It was a Catholic retreat and they asked us if we knew the Holy Spirit and lead us in a prayer to ask for forgiveness for anything we may feel shame, embarrassment, upset, scorn, torment, pain, anger, jealousy, addiction and that Jesus would want to take that from us and give us His peace. I remember crying and repenting visualizing me sitting on Jesus's lap and fearful to look into Jesus's eyes. And then the Lord said, give it to me... give it to me... let me take it from you. You are no longer alone. I am with you. I love you and I want to take care of you. I forgive you my daughter. I love you. Feel my grace.
JENN GOTZON'S FIRST MAJOR FILM
WHICH PUT HER ON THE MAP
After this, I felt a peace that surpasses understanding come over my being from head to toe and electrified my body, mind, soul and i was 'born again'. I accepted Jesus as my personal savior and since then, my life has never been the same.. When life gets painful, hard, challenged as a while ago I went through a divorce bc my husband walked out on our marriage... as those years were tormenting painful, Jesus was right next to me.. As i suffered the loss of a few deaths and the pains of sadness, Jesus was right next to me and was able to hear Him whisper... "I love you, you are not alone, I am with you. let Me be your groom. you are My bride, let Me provide for you"... This was trancendingly powerful that stays my foundation. I am far from perfect and find many days, moments that I am wrapped up into all sorts of stuff that is not focused distracting my day, ie. Facebook... lol.. but once i get redialed into the Holy Spirit's guidance for the day... i feel God and Jesus' leading through my life journey.

BL:  Given your powerful testimony about your relationship with Christ, I understand your path is now leading you into ministry. How do you see that developing over the next two years and what steps do you think are important to keep a narrow focus on ministering to folks from all walks of life, while “tent-making” in movies….because, as you know,  the world out there with their eyes on high-profile Christians?

JG: The vision God has poured over me is using my movies as a platform to share our story on how we have overcome life's challenges like the characters on-screen in hopes to encourage others, they can overcome difficulties and live their passions and dreams with prayer, perseverance and faith in God. The program i created in 2008 is called "Inspiring Audiences" and has molded into "Jenn Gotzon's Inspiring Audiences: Music, Movie & a Message"
We (Jenn and the Greens) had our inaugural event at Fellowship Baptist Church in Hudson, NC hosted by my dear friend Julie Green and her pastor husband Sheldon. They welcomed me into their church and hosted the event. The local news covered the experience and Jim E Chandler opened with worship song, followed by one of my movies, followed by Jim singing a song about his testimony, followed by me sharing an inspirational message about how the movie relates to our lives and then an interactive exercise helping people hear the calling God has on their lives to find their passion and live their dreams. It was wonderfully anointed time. I look forward to doing this program anytime I have downtime between filming and my spokesmodel job in China and ministry with AMTC Actors Models Talent for Christ where I spend my time mentoring and educating performers for the next generation with the staff to develop a Christian foundation to use their talents and as a positive role model in culture. #MakingGoodBolder #InspiringAudiences #GodisGood
