Great God in Heaven, You are the God Who calls sinners unto Yourself for redemption and salvation, so we can be made whole and more like You. On this day, dear Heavenly Father, thank You for Your calling on our lives to grow in You, to live for You, to serve You and love others to You. Thank You dear Heavenly Father, that while we were yet sinners, Jesus Christ died for us.

OH PRAISE THE NAME OF THE LORD OUR GOD
Sunday, March 28, 2021
CONSIDER THIS: FOUNDATION
"And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock….Matthew 7:25

CONSIDER THIS: The psalm says “unless the Lord builds the house, they labor in vain…(Psalm 127:1)” Nothing built by this will stand on the Day of the Lord (the Day of Wrath). There is coming a day, when Judgment will rain down on this earth. The majority of people alive now and then do not believe it because they are under the same deception as those in the day of Noah, who perished in the Flood. The only house that will stand is the House of Faith…the House that starts in a redeemed, rejuvenated heart…a heart that has been changed forever by the cleansing Power of Jesus Christ.
ACTION: Today, write down a list of your beliefs, then search the Scriptures daily to see if ALL of them line up with the Word of God. If even the smallest one is off, surrender it to Him immediately, repent and ask forgiveness. Then watch our Heavenly Father lay the Cornerstone of True Faith, to then begin to grow us in wisdom and the joy of the Lord.
Oh Most Gracious God in Heaven, Thy Word is Truth, and it is the foundation of all I am, all I believe, all I want to be and all I live to be. Father, today, build on these strong pillars which You have embedded in my life that I will continue to grow in wisdom, discernment and the ability to anticipate not just what You would expect, but the pitfalls which lie hidden ahead, so that none of them will come nigh. Thank You, Lord for Your blessings on me. Thank You for delivering me, from the bondage of deception into the Glorious Light of Truth, in Jesus’ Strong Name amen.

GREAT WOMEN OF FAITH - ANNA, FIRST BIG CITY EVANGELIST
Nothing is wasted in God's economy. Nothing in His Creation and nothing in His Word. Every word, of every phrase of every verse of every chapter of book is there for a reason and the passage above is no exception. The prophetess Anna is more than just an extra in some church Christmas program. She is given to us as an example of so many attributes we need to emulate as Christians.
God created us, each with a different and unique set of DNA, fingerprints and personality. However, there is nothing new under the sun, while under the Son - He maketh everything new! The person of Anna, writen, under Divine Authority, about by Dr. Luke, the Greek Gospel writer is a living testimony to the amazing Mind of God. Let us unpack this, thematically as well expository, as we look at this powerful woman of God.
Anna was of great age (verse 36b): In this case, it is okay to ask a woman her age!! The only reason this is important is the evidence the Holy Spirit gives to show that Anna had been serving God for a long, long time. We see in the next phrase, she was an 84 years old widow, having been married for 7 years. Many of us have been Christians and followers of Jesus Christ for many decades, some for a few years, some just recently. But six plus decades is a long time, in anybody's language for dedicated, selfless service to the Lord. One significant noticeable thing is this - Anna lost her husband in her early 20's. Yet, unlike most, instead of being bitter and turning AWAY FROM God, she turned TO Him. We are to learn from this. We can learn that no matter how much it hurts, God is for us and is always in control. There is nothing wrong in asking our Father in Heaven "why me, Lord". But be prepared for the answer, because that answer is always geared towards strengthening our Faith and our relationship with Him, if we listen and let Him direct our future....after the appropriate period of mourning.
Anna did not depart from the Temple (verse 37a): She obviously had her own little room in the huge temple complex, which was appointed by God, where there had to be many old used scrolls of the Law, the Prophets and the Psalms. She did not spend those many years just walking around aimlessly, being only an encourager to countless women and children. According to tradition, she would not have been allowed to teach men, but praying for and ministering to others was her calling. The lesson for us here is this - we are not to depart from the modern Temple of the Lord, because the Holy Spirit Who abides in us, has fueled us up with the correct mindset to seek, pursue and acquire the Knowledge of the Holy One and we are to live under than unction all the days of our lives. This includes and precludes us following after the mystic and pagan ways of the eastern "religions" and the strange New Age doctrines of the west.
Anna served God with fastings and prayers (verse 37b): This is an interesting phrase as there is more to it than we read in the English translations, on which modern western christianity based their "theology". The word "serve" is from the original bible Greek word "latris" which literally means "hired servant". In a sense, we are all “hired servants” of the King, being Christians and bought by a price – on the Cross, by His Precious Blood. We are servants who are never fired, but are continually being fired up by the Power of the Holy Spirit – the very Spirit of God Who indwells every rejuvenated soul. We serve Him best by being His disciples. We already know what the qualifications of a disciple is, i.e “take up your Cross and follow” Christ.
This “taking up of the Cross” is the one thing modern Christians have the biggest problem with and continues to be our downfall. Taking up one’s Cross means total selfless commitment to the point of being a “doulos” like the Apostle Paul. Modern English translates that word “servant” to be politically correct when it literally means slave. A slave follows His Master as we should follow Christ. The commitment not only involves dying to self but following Christ in every way – in studying His Word, like Anna studied the scrolls – the same scrolls we hold in our hands when we hold a Bible. The commitment also involves daily prayer and as much as possible – fasting. Fasting is not a concept which was done away with but a way to connect with the Lord on a deeper level, when we put aside the distractions and delicasies of daily living for a higher purpose of Christ, on occasion. This is the way we grow as disciples and emulate the great example of Anna the Prophetess.
Anna responded to God's Perfect Timing (verse 38a): Now this verse
about the great woman of faith – Anna –is so intriguing and full of meaning. First of all, we see perfect timing. It appears from Dr. Luke’s Gospel that God Himself directed first Simeon and then Anna, to His Son (in baby form) in the same encounter. But how would she know which one would be the Christ child in all the hundreds of people in the temple courtyard that day? God’s perfect timing is the only answer. This woman had spent six decades, living in the temple under the auspices and Grace of God and had studied under the best teachers of the time, including Nicodemus and Gamaliel. She knew the Word. She fasted and prayed and ministered as much as she ate and slept, walked and talked. In that instant, it all came together. For us, that moment was when we first knew Him as Lord and Savior – and the most exciting journey of our lives began! This is the journey with Jesus which will take us home to be with Him!
Anna became the First Big City Evangelist (verse 38b): So it no wonder, she gave thanks! Her entire life was fulfilled in the meeting and holding of the Sovereign King of the Universe –the Baby Jesus! Her words of gratitude for this honor are not recorded like Simeon, but her actions spoke more. Her gratitude for what the Lord did for her, led her to become the First Evangelist of the Christian Faith in Jerusalem. We already saw that the poor Shepherds of Bethlehem were the first pastors and evangelists but they were kept OUTSIDE the big city by the Pharisees, who did not want them in the Holy City for many reasons! They looked down on those shepherds as dirty, smelly and even thieves when these shepherds were the ones who kept all the sheep required for the Temple sacrifices!
God revealed the Birth of the Savior to these poor Shepherds at the beginning on the jagged cold hills south of the eternal city. He then revealed the eight day old God-man to this amazing woman, Anna, who spared no time sharing the Good News of the Savior's arrival to all in the City of Jerusalem, who would listen. With whom she shared the news of the fulfillment of the Messianic Prophesy is important. Scripture said "Anna spoke of Him to all who looked for Redemption". Just like today, people felt oppressed, under stressed and distressed and full of hopelessness. Still, this great woman of Faith, who literally met the Savior as a baby boy, knew of the Hope that had arrived and told all who would listen. This laid the foundation for what took 30 years to come to fruition - the Ministry of Jesus Christ. Today, we have that same hope. So many are unable to cope and are even looking in the wrong place for their concept of Redemption, Peace, Joy, Understanding, Love, Hope and Grace. They need to look to the beautiful Face of Christ, Whom the Father allowed this unique woman to first see; surrender their lives to Him and then feel the same joy Anna saw, when she came face to Face with the Messiah two thousand years ago.

THY WILL BE DONE: PRAYER - "BE POSITIVE"
Consider this: Moses’ brother Aaron was the first official High Priest of the Faith (Melchizedek is the first ever on earth). Aaron’s famous Aaron blessing is direct from God and the portion which pertains here is “The Lord bless you and keep you…..the Lord make His Face to shine upon you, and give you shalom (peace): Numbers 6:26. There is no more powerfully positive blessing and prayer than this. You can’t teach “positive” we just have to come to a full realization of how great a salvation we have, what that salvation cost Jesus Christ and how incredibly blessed we are to the point that we cannot help but fall at His Feet and even at the mention of His Name. There are many who reject the Lordship of Jesus Christ and simply call Him Savior. Savior, He is. However, if Jesus is NOT the Lord of your life, then something/somebody else is and there is no way there can be a complete relationship with God.
Let us begin to work from the very heart of this verse for a minute, which is “all that is within me” (Psalm 103:1a). This is pro-active sacrificial worship straight from the very depths of who we, as 100% committed followers of Christ, is foundational in having a positive attitude of prayer. When you and I approach the Lord, with expectation and when you approach Abba Father with total surrender, you and I are operating under the Scriptural Definition of Faith. This is right out of Hebrews 11:1 “Now Faith is the substance of things hoped for (expectation), the evidence of things not seen”!

THIRTY ONE DAYS OF PRAYER AND THE WORD:JANUARY 1-31, 2015 THEME: "ABIDE"
VERSES:
The Lord is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer, My God, my rock, in whom I take refuge...(Psalm 18:2)
PRAYER:
Most Heavenly and Holy Father, on Christ the Solid Rock I stand, ALL other ground is sinking sand. You are the Almighty, the Lord of Heaven's Armies, the Creator of All Things, the Upholder of the Universe, the Sustainer of All, the Provider, Protector and Standard of Your people! Through You, all was created by and for You and You rule over all. You uphold the righteous, You hug the loveless, You reach out to the hopeless, You guide the careless, You discipline the reckless and You grant favor to the penniless.
You reward those who bless You and pray for Your people. But You turn Your Holy Face against the hard of heart and those who reject You. You sent down fire and brimstone to destroy Sodom and Gomorrah. You destroyed Pharaoh's army in the Red Sea. You wiped out the ten tribes of the Northern Kingdom and gave them to the Assyrians. Today, perversion and corruption reigns as the followers of evolution have denied the Creator and worship the creation (Romans 1:22-25). You have given then the ultimate pre-Judgment - You gave them over to themselves. The righteous see them rampaging through and destroying our family structure, the unborn and the great institutions You ordained with no brakes and no check in sight. But this is just for a time. They have a future eternity to think of and regret all of this.
But You oh God, are my deliverer. You sent Your Son the Savior to set the captives free, to deliver us from all evil. While we are set upon, beat up, pressed down, oppressed and spat upon by the lost, from the outhouse to the fanciest house, You stand there for us. You stand in the Gap as our Shield and Buckler. Your guardian angels protect us daily, even in our temporary folly. Because You are unshakeable...because You always existed and there is none like You...because You are God before the foundation of the earth....because You are sinless, pure, holy, and good and because You see the beginning from the end, You are more than a fortress. You are a bulwark. You are to Whom we run when we seek refuge and comfort. You are to Whom we raise up our hopes and hands because You are the Fountain of Righteousness and Source of All Power! Words cannot describe You. You scoff at the scoffing pagans and heathens of this world as they shake their puny fists like Nimrod did and You can remove them by a single word. Yet You stay Your hand not wanting that any should perish. You are a merciful as well as powerful God and we love You. We worship and adore You. We magnify Your Powerful Name, Oh Lord of Heaven's Armies Who shall one day return to rule the earth, and it is in Jesus' Strong Name I pray, amen.

"I AM STATEMENTS OF JESUS" - THE IMPACT OF JESUS OVER 2000 YEARS
Jesus Christ is not just the Lord and Savior of all mankind.
Jesus Christ is not just the High Priest, Prophet and King Who lives to make intercession for the elect.
Jesus Christ is not just the loftiest idea in literature, the melodies of a million songs.
Jesus Christ is not just the Image of the Invisible God:
He is the inspiration and the driving force of the following:
- The entire hospital and the entire health care system we have today.
- The entire educational higher educational system we have today.
- The missionary movement which took civilization, health care, clean food & healthy systems to the western world and to Africa, India, China and all points in between.
Princeton, Harvard and Yale all began as Christian colleges to promote the teaching of the Gospel. Princeton started as a bible study group. What they have become - secular humanist anti-Christian institutes of higher learning - is a testimony to the sin of mankind, for which accountability will be required one day.
The following video: Part 1 of this two part TV show teaching examines first the foundational understanding and underpinnings of Who Jesus Christ is, some of His impact, and the Historical/Biblical background of this teaching.

HOW DO I THINK ON THESE THINGS?
REQUIREMENTS:
Thinking Biblically, which we attempt to do and share daily here and elsewhere, requires a mind surrendered completely to God. It is also necessary to be teachable.
Being teachable requires humility.
Humility requires your acknowledgement that He is God and WE ARE NOT!
If all of this is lined up, we have the Blueprint for the Foundation of a Mind set on the Kingdom of God and not of this world! We now have something Holy Spirit can work with! God resists the proud but gives Grace to the Humble.
Therefore:
FROM THE BOOK OF PHILIPPIANS CHAPTER 4:
(Exhortations in BOLD BLUE)
A. THE FOUNDATION FOR THE RIGHT MINDSET:
4 Rejoice in the Lord always. Again I will say, rejoice! -
Worship and Praise! Gratitude over what He has done for you will spur you to have joy unspeakable and an unmistakeably thankful heart! This leads to WORSHIP!!!
5 Let your gentleness be known to all men. The Lord is at hand.
Be kind, compassionate and gentle like our Savior. He was/is God and could have thrown His Power around - He didn't! He came to love the unloveable and save the "un-saveable" (so to speak). Don't be a doormat, yet show the Love of Christ. It wins every time!
6 Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God;
While the world around you is losing their collective minds - you stand firm in the knowledge that YOU are God's Child. Nothing can separate you from Him and Holy Spirit (or God in us) confirms this, if you're paying attention and do not grieve Him by active, ongoing sin!
Secondly - pray with humility and thanksgiving. DO NOT GO TO GOD WITH A LAUNDRY LIST...HAVE A LIST...BUT GET TO IT AFTER YOU HAVE PROPERLY PRAISED AND THANKED HIM, my friends! He already knows what we are going to ask Him to do! He is waiting to see HOW you're going to ask!
Ask with arrogance - forgeddaboudit!
Ask with meekness and a spirit of helplessness - He listens!
When God listens, He gives peace, revelation right away. The answer may take time, or not, but an answer will come! He has guaranteed it!
7 and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
You are to pour all of these attributes above, as the concrete into your "Mindset Foundation". Look at the list in just these past few comments in blue:
Humility
Gentleness
Compassion
Self-control
Joy
Gratitude
Worship.....why, some of these sound like the Fruits of the Spirit!!!!!!!!!!!
You are correct! That's the Foundation!
Finally - He said, GUARD your hearts! Do not love the flesh, tempting sights and sounds of this World, more than you love God! Guard your heart means - WATCH IT! Don't fall for temptation to flirt with disaster, either with an illicit affair or false doctrine or nice sounding cultural trends etc!
You should not just guard your heart, and especially if you are married, but protect garbage from going into your mind! This can be garbage from TV, even harmless sounding things like political shows which can rile you up...turn away from them....!!
TOMORROW: THE FORMULA (IN SOME DETAIL) FOR THE RIGHT MINDSET!
HOW DO I THINK ON THESE THINGS?
Many have made a living for decades, teaching others how to think positively. As we say yesterday, Dale Carnegie is probably the best known as one of the earliest, to do this in an organized fashion.
While he and Norman Vincent Peale are the most famous, over the years, many have used various techniques to fire up folks from Aunt Betty to those in corporate boardrooms across America. Tony Robbins and his big presence has made millions so doing. As has Ken Blanchard (the One Minute Manager guy); Steven Covey (Seven Habits of Highly Effective People; Dr. Phil; Jack Canfield (Chicken Soup for the ...you name it) and on and on.
Most of these men and women may use a bible verse or two, but these two men stand out for their long term walk with the Lord and basing their entire career on the Bible: Zig Ziglar and Dave Ramsey! This piece is not about biographies but about where the source of both men's strength comes from - the Word of God.
Men like us (and actually there are more women motivational speakers/life coaches than men) believe completely in the Sufficiency of Scripture. This means the Word of the Lord has the answers to ALL Life's great issues, problems and more.
Today, I wish to focus us on the following passage of Philippians with as little comment as possible. In fact, today, I will lay out the two part passage to Biblical Positive Thinking and tomorrow, briefly explain, in one sentence- what it means.
FROM THE BOOK OF PHILIPPIANS:
A. THE FOUNDATION FOR THE RIGHT MINDSET:
4 Rejoice in the Lord always. Again I will say, rejoice!
5 Let your gentleness be known to all men. The Lord is at hand.
6 Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; 7 and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
B. THE FORMULA FOR THE RIGHT MINDSET:
8 Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things arepure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy—meditate on these things. 9 The things which you learned and received and heard and saw in me, these do, and the God of peace will be with you.
TOMORROW: "What Does It Mean?"
Tuesday, September 20, 2011
THINK ON THESE THINGS - TUESDAY
We are all looking, with nervous anticipation, to Heaven! If someone tells me they are not the least bit anxious etc about Eternity, they are not telling the Truth. Revelation chapter 21 (which we will flesh out tomorrow) gives a small glimpse about what the new Heaven and Earth will look like! The Bible calls this "New Jerusalem" - the City of our God...where there is no day or night because the LORD HIMSELF will shine so brightly in His Glory, we won't need a sun or moon!
So then, you imagine this - two thousand years BEFORE Christ was born, His servant Abraham already envisioned the Eternal City, Which dimensions are already set and ready to roll after the 1000 year reign of Christ on earth! This was around 2000 BC! This also tells me that Jesus gave Abraham the same vision which Apostle John had in Revelation.
As we move on to our next installment in the Faith Chapter of Hebrews 11:10, I put back up verse 9 to show the context of verse 10. This has to be so since the way Abraham and his descendants lived at first - as strangers/foreigners in pagan land, was a recognition of their temporary earthly status. These were a people whose vision was clear about WHOSE they were - God, and their fallen, forgiven condition. Many say, "well Christ was not born yet, how could these Hebrews be saved?"
Good question - "Abraham believed God and it was credited to him as righteousness" (Romans 4:3)! He was saved by Faith. When the bible said he was made righteous - it means exactly that: Abraham was made right before God because he believed and then obeyed. ALL Old Testament saints were saved by Faith and NOT the blood of the animals they sacrificed at an altar. It was only when Christ was killed on the Cross and the first Drop of Divine Blood hit the tree He was nailed to, that retroactive and FUTURE Atonement was made for ALL mankind! This may sound confusing, but I can explain this at a future date.
Here are both verses 9 and 10 of Hebrews 11 (NLT):
9: And even when he reached the land God promised him, he lived there by faith--for he was like a foreigner, living in tents. And so did Isaac and Jacob, who inherited the same promise.
10 Abraham was confidently looking forward to a city with eternal foundations, a city designed and built by God.
Abraham KNEW Christ! You say - WHAT?!
Who do you think was walking in the cool of the evening in the Garden of Eden (which He created)....way back in Genesis 3, asking Adam where he was hiding?
Who do you think was in the Pillar of Cloud and the Fire Which led the Israelites out of Egypt?
Who do you think appeared to Samson's mother in the book of Judges...and His Name was Wonderful and on and on....!!!!! HIS NAME IS JESUS! KING OF THE UNIVERSE!
Christ and two of His top angels (Genesis 18) visited Abraham just before He destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah! Abraham tried to make a deal with Jesus to spare Sodom as Lot lived there!
It was Jesus Who constantly spoke to Abraham as He led him out of Southern Iraq at age 75.
It was Jesus Who showed Abraham His Face in Genesis.
It was Jesus Who gave Abraham the vision of the Eternal City where you and I will live forever with Him!
RIGHT NOW: I had such a download of Holy Spirit and am still slain in Him right now, while writing this, I can't believe God would choose to allow someone such as I to write these Truths! Glory to His Name! My entire body is on Fire -literally - for Christ at 3:28am writing this! I had to stop a few minutes ago and just thank and worship Him and say Hallelujah!
I hope you know Christ - deeply and personally. You can know Him as Abraham does - just let yourself go! Loose yourself in Jesus. It is Christ and Christ Alone! Faith is only the beginning of the Journey with Jesus.
