VERSE(S): Not only that, but we rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that suffering produces endurance, and endurance produces character, and character produces hope, and hope does not put us to shame, because God's love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who has been given to us. (Romans 5:3-5)

EQUATION: Life is this Equation: Suffering + Pain + Perseverance (minus)- Self-pity = Godly Character

ACTION: Human suffering is not easy to explain because it was brought on before most humans ever alive were born. It was created by SIN in the Garden of Eden, by Adam and Eve. The key here is Perseverance. Because we, who are Christians have Faith and Hope, we also have the capacity to stay faithful to God and TRUST HIM. This is exactly what we must do - say like Job in Chapter 13:15 "Though He slay me, I will trust in Him". Difficult? Yes. Impossible? No!

PRAYER: Father, You have promised to be with us, no matter what from now until the End of time. In our time of greatest need, we pray You will prove Yourself strong and mighty for us. We know the answer to suffering and sickness, destruction and death, sometimes is staggering silence. When that happens Lord, remind us that at those times, it is our cue for complete 100% TRUST in Your plan, purposes and power because we cannot see the end from the beginning as You can. Remind us of the reward also, dear heavenly Father, of being true to You, all the days of our Lives, in Jesus' Strong Name we pray, amen.
