CHURCH SILENT AS AMERICA GOES TO HELL!

Matthew 28: 18-28 (AMPLIFIED BIBLE):
18
Jesus approached and, breaking the silence, said to them, All authority (all power of rule) in heaven and on earth has been given to Me.

19Go then and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them into the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,

20Teaching them to observe everything that I have commanded you, and behold, I am with you all the days perpetually, uniformly, and on every occasion), to the [very] close and consummation of the age. Amen (so let it be).

There are two important facts to note in this Gospel passage:

1. Jesus breaks His silence (verse 18).

2. He gave a DIRECT command.

We see here that Jesus BROKE His silence. Since then, His church has taken it up! As American culture slips further into Sodom and Gomorrah type status, there is seldom or never a peep from the pulpits of America to warn the flock of the wolves out there and secondly to go into the world and create disciples.

The Pew Forum on Religion and Public Life found that over 57% (YES! 57%) of Evangelical so-called Christians say there are other ways to salvation (and therefore Heaven) than Jesus Christ!!! What are they learning in church? AND, do you and I still want to be identified as an "evangelical"! I will no longer call myself one these heretic sheep!

This explains why the entire US church suffers from the Sin of Silence. Because there is NO biblical moral and worldview leadership in most megachurch or even small church, the sheep (or the children of God) have no passion or qualifications to go out and share the Good News of Christ! When you combine that with rampant spiritual laziness, we find the Great Commission is now the Great OMISSION!

Many words can be written on this topic and outrage would be totally appropriate here. The correct response would be for the remnant ( the less than 3% of us in the pews) to take up the dropped ball and run with it in the other direction. It does not matter if we are starting at the opponent's 1 yard line with 99 yards to go to the endzone. There is no clock - just a direct command to obey - and a lifetime of mission to accomplish this, prayerfully and humbly. The good thing is God does not expect us to score a touchdown on every carry....all we have to do is advance the ball (in Kingdom terms) down the field!
