PSALM 103 VERSES 17 AND 18: "INSEPARABLE - LEGACY & COVENANT"

But the lovingkindness of the Lord is from everlasting to everlasting on those who fear Him, and His righteousness to children’s children, to those who keep His covenant and remember His precepts to do them (Psalm 103:17-18)
Leaving a good name or reputation for upright and Godly living as well as just pure goodness is the mark of a life well-lived. It is called Legacy.  The goal of every wise parent or Christian is to not just leave our children better off than we found ourselves but to set a standard towards which they may attain. (Legacy (Webster’s Dictionary) is defined as ‘something transmitted by, or received from, an ancestor or predecessor or from the past”.)

There are two types of legacy. We see the legacies of millionaires, billionaires, and celebrities, many of whom may have had a somewhat moral or even Christian compass at some point in their lives. Brittany Spears, of all people, used to sing in a Southern Baptist church choir in Texas. These people never passed on Godly teaching or values from the Bible to their children, because they themselves were never saved. What then happens is chaos, after their heirs inherited their riches. They soon fritter away their parents’ “legacy” with de
cadent lifestyles and immoral living.

On the other hand, we have the legacy of a great American like Jonathan Edwards, who is well known for preaching the greatest sermon ever in the United States of America! “Sinners in the Hands of An Angry God” was preached in East Windsor, Connecticut in July 1741 and was responsible for 500 new souls being convicted and being saved in one service. (Pastor Jonathan Edwards read his sermon monotone, almost without looking up, due to his near-sightedness, while holding his notes close to his face, as an aside.)

Here is the legacy of Jonathan Edwards: They were able to locate and research 1,394 of his known descendants. Thirteen of them became college presidents, 65 college professors, 3 United States Senators, 30 judges, 100 lawyers, 60 physicians, 75 army and navy officers, 100 preachers and missionaries, 60 authors of prominence, one Vice-President of the United States, 80 public officials in other capacities, 295 college graduates, among whom were governors of states and ministers to foreign countries. (Source:  America is Too Young to Die by Leonard Ravenhill, Minneapolis, Minnesota: Bethany Fellowship, 1979, p. 112)

Psalm 103, verse 17 says “The Lovingkindness (mercy) of the LORD is from everlasting to everlasting (forever and ever) to those who FEAR (respect, adore, revere, worship and love Him)”. But not just this truth. The same verse also continues “….and His righteousness to children’s children (legacy)”!

This is not just like the legacy of Jonathan Edwards and his descendants, but today we can think of many public figures. Look at the children of the world’s greatest preacher, Billy Graham. The righteousness of God has reached Franklin Graham and the phenomenal work through Samaritan’s Purse and Operation Christmas Child. The latter reaches tens of millions of children in so many countries each year. When there is a natural disaster in America or in Haiti or elsewhere,  Samaritan’s Purse/My Hope trucks, chaplains and clean up crews show up before anybody else, sometimes.

Billy Graham’s grandson, Will Graham IV has been preaching at crusades up and down the North American east coast and Europe for over a decade.  And not just these famous people.  Our small local churches are full of men and women who kept the strongest faith in Jesus, raised good Godly families and are now seeing the fruit in their wonderful grandchildren. While we can point to these rich and famous guys, the real work of the church is done in the homes of our faithful Christian families, like our grandparents and in some cases, our own parents. The real work is done, most definitely in our own homes where we send out our own children into the world, fortified in the Word of God and raised with the true knowledge and fear of the Lord.

This is of prime importance because the Lord uses the word “Covenant” in the very next verse.  Whether Christians believe it or not, there IS a legal component to our new position in Christ, as born-again, bought-by-Calvary, committed followers and disciples of Jesus Christ.  When we got saved/redeemed/born-again/pulled-out-of-the-fire,  we entered into a Covenant with Almighty God. The closest thing in human terms would be the legally binding marriage covenant before God, between a man and a woman (Genesis 2:24), except there is no thought of divorce or separation.

Webster’s Dictionary (1828) defines Covenant in part, as the Promise of God to us, conditioned on certain terms on the part of man, as obedience, repentance, faith” and us accepting that Promise and living under the Lordship and Sovereignty of Jesus Christ. It is a two way binding agreement. God promises and offers – for Free. We accept and obey, freely.

Psalm 103 Verse 18b then follows up with the following phrase “….and remember His precepts to do them”. Covenant and precepts go together. A precept is basically rules, commandments, commands, decrees, doctrine or anything where there is a set standard

What is the Lord saying here? He says, in essence the following “You and I are Covenant. You are a Kingdom son or daughter of mine. There are rules in this Kingdom, and precepts which are in My Word – the Bible – and while there are easy to understand and live by, they are to be kept. It will take love, commitment, self-control, boldness and obedience to live by these precepts.  You will fail to do so from time to time. One of my precepts and a clause in the Covenant allows for confession of sin and repentance.  Stay close to me, repent when you fall short. Pray and study My eternal ways and you will find Me even more loving, kind, generous and compassion than you can ever imagine”.

The Bard of Avon, William Shakespeare says in his classic "Julius Caesar" the following: "the evil that men do, lives after them. The good is oft interred with their bones". That is only partially correct. Evil does perpetuate itself. King Solomon caused the fall of Israel as to where it is today, a mostly secular country when he married all these pagan women and allowed their "gods" into God's land. But the good Legacies live on - as we have seen above....and in our own children and grandchildren - if we teach them about Jesus AND LIVE IT!

Both go together. A Godly legacy is predicated on our Covenant with God being real, healthy, really healthy and strong. We make Covenant at the point of Salvation. We maintain and strengthen this Covenant by obedience to the Will, Word and Wonder of God, in Christ....because He is a Good, Good, Father!
This is the message of Psalm 103, verse 17 and 18.

PRAYERS OF THE BIBLE SERIES: THE BOOK OF NUMBERS #4

REJECT GOD AT YOUR OWN PERIL!
17And now, please let the power of the Lord be great as you have promised, saying, 18'The Lord is slow to anger and abounding in steadfast love, forgiving iniquity and transgression, but He will by no means clear the guilty, visiting the iniquity of the fathers on the children, to the third and the fourth generation.' 19Please pardon the iniquity of this people, according to the greatness of Your steadfast love, just as You have forgiven this people, from Egypt until now." Numbers 14:13-19
Many do not believe in generational curses, but do believe in generational blessings. If you look at some of the great men of God in all history, there may be something to that. The greatest sermon in America was preached by Jonathan Edwards in 1747 in East Windsor, Connecticut. It is "Sinners in the Hands of an Angry God". This sermon was read in monotone off notes by a near-sighted Pastor Edwards and 500 people got saved that day. He was the great reformed preacher from the First Great Awakening in America which led to the American Revolution, and the birth of the greatest country ever on planet earth.

Now many will say that generational curses do not apply anymore, since the Age of Grace. There is some validity to this. However, whatsoever a man sows, that shall he reap.  The principle does not change. America’s great preacher of the 18th century – Jonathan Edwards’ descendants were college presidents, and pastors. There was even one Vice President of the United States in there. There is another prominent North Eastern American family, from the same state, whose patriarch was a notorious rum runner and manipulator and womanizer. A lot of his descendants became drug addicts, divorce-ridden multiple times and even dead at an early age. These are not generational curses but family traits. The son of one of the biggest atheists in America became a pastor....thereby showing the Sovereignty of God....and how He fits nobody's patterns or thoughts. This man's mother is Madelyn Murray O’Hair, the person who got prayer and the Bible out of American schools.

In this prayer above, Moses acknowledges the patient mercy, grace and long-suffering of the Lord.  From our personal experience, we know God has been patient with us in all our stupidity and sin from the day we were born. Even when we continue to sin after we were born again, our Father Who art in Heaven, forgives and removes our sin from our record. Not so with the unsaved and especially those who have committed transgression and iniquity. Transgression and Iniquity are places no Christian would wish to go because they represent severely willful defiance of God.

We are all sinners saved by grace and will have a nature in us which continually misses the mark. This will decrease as we grow more mature in the Lord and will last with us throughout our lives on earth. Transgression, however, is crossing the line from trying to live right and sinning occasionally, to willfully disobeying God. Samson is good example.  As a Nazarite, he was not supposed to be around any dead animal, drink alcohol, go near pagan women or allow his hair to be cut. He violated all of this.

Iniquity is the mother of all sin. It is as vile as King David willfully staying away from his duty and ogling his one of his Mighty Men - Uriah the Hittite’s wife – Bathsheba. This led to the culmination of years of ungodly lust for her, as he summoned her and they willingly had an affair. The affair then resulted in Bathsheba becoming pregnant. However, David went one step worse than crossing the line from Transgression.  He committed premeditated murder of Bathsheba’s husband and his own friend, Uriah thereby breaking every single one of the Ten Commandments. This was his iniquity as it was unrepentant sin of the highest degree which he plotted and committed. It was cold, calculated sin (iniquity) and a slap in the Face of God, which took two years for him to be caught by the Prophet Nathan. It took two years for King David to repent before God.

The people under Moses’ care and leadership had reached that point (of no return) when they rejected the reports of Joshua and Caleb and sided with the other ten scouts who basically called God a liar. It was God Himself who had Moses send out the 12 tribe representatives to view and scout the Promised Land.

The rebellion against God was so evil that the people wanted to choose a leader who would lead them back to Egypt! That would be like God rescuing us from a sewer pit and then having tasted of His miracles and His goodness, we decided that we actually loved living like pigs in the muck, dirt and sewage rather than worship in the Freedom, Purity and Goodness of Almighty God. This is what the majority of the tribes did. When Joshua and Caleb spoke up to defend the Lord and tell of His Truth and the wonders of the Promised Land, the people tried to stone them.

For their rejection of the One True God, He wanted to wipe them out right then and there…and this is where the humble man of God – Moses, interceded once more.  Here is where Moses also sought to maintain the reputation of the Lord, while attempting to save his people from destruction. He knew God was more than justified in wiping the memory of them off the earth and off His books, but Moses also knew the Egyptians will hear of about one million people dying in the desert at the Hands of “their God”.  Because Moses sought no other purpose other than the Glory and Good Name of the Lord, God did not immediately destroy every person in that motley group of Israelites. God mentioned the ten times they rejected him and it was only then, that He decreed them wandering in the desert for forty years, after which every single adult except Joshua and Caleb over the age of 20 would die in the desert. To show His utter rejection of them as a people, He called their future perishing bodies “carcasses”!

What are the lessons for us today? First, simply put – we should never cross that line. When we were saved, God saved us from the Power of Sin, however the presence of sin still abounds.  We see it everywhere.  Scripture teaches us to "take every thought captive". When the devil puts a tempting thought to distract and divert us away from God, to sinful thoughts, we MUST eradicate it with the Power of the Holy Spirit and not dwell on it.  Even good Christians have the potential to fall and fall hard if we do not run from sinful thoughts, but allow then to embed themselves in our consciousness and then develop into lustful fantasies which may or may not cross the line into active sin.  God has created several firewalls before we even get to that point of transgression and pre-meditated commission of sin.

We must activate those firewalls by knowing the Scripture and how to beat back the lies of the devil with them. We must also run from sin and we should not worry about offending the person tempting you to sin. Worry more about offending God and bringing bad consequences of any potential actions. There is a reason the Bible tells us to “flee immorality” and “resist the devil and he will flee from you”. They work! The firewall against sin, transgression and iniquity is the Word of God and the willingness to follow what it says.

The second lesson is this – God WILL punish all who reject Him. He is patient and kind and will allow people to reject, blaspheme and ignore Him more than ten times. However they will pay the price. In fact, if you want to go back to the pit where you came from, God will allow your choice because He does not wish to coerce anyone to love and respect Him, who is not inclined that way. Hell is full, and will be replete with the majority of mankind from all eras, who have shaken their collective fists at God, shouting that He is "dead" or how much they "do not believe in Him". The Kingdom of Heaven remains open to all, who fear God, keep His commands and accept the Son - Jesus Christ - as Lord and master over all. This also has not changed and the free offer stands as long as there is time.

The third lesson is God is patient. While He can destroy anyone at anytime, He listens to prayer and the prayer of one of His most faithful servants - Moses. Abba Father still pay attention to the prayers of His saints and desires that none should perish but that all will come to repentance. The entire account from Numbers 13 and 14 about what led up to this prayer and God's angry reaction is symptomatic of life today. Christians and others are always asking "where is God while....X Y or Z is happening".... or "how long can the wicked reign..." and all its variations. His patience, grace and love should not be mistaken for weakness, because when He acts, it is always final and the results are devastating. The key is for the Faithful to remain faithful in prayer, supplication and obedience. The modus operandi for remaining in the good graces of God is finally, to keep short accounts with God and man; to walk the straight and narrow and to live a repentant lifestyle....not in fear, but out of love and respect for the One Who has saved us by His Grace.

KEYS TO REVIVAL

KEY #2 - REPENTANCE AND THE DOCTRINES OF GRACE
There are two things to which every Christian must agree. These are the Total Depravity of Man and the Perseverance of the Saints. A truly rejuvenated, born of the Spirit and saved individual immediately knows the depravity from which she or he was rescued.  This is the point where we literally came to a knowledge of the sinful condition of our hearts, bodies, minds and soul and either choose to continue - or surrender our entire being to the One Who Created and saved us, by His Grace.

In his psalm of Repentance, King David "Behold, I was brought forth in iniquity, And in sin my mother conceived me. Behold, You desire truth in the innermost being..." (psalm 51:5-6a). The great man of God, who broke God's commandment of not just adultery, but of coveting, lying, murder, idolatry etc...was describing the depraved and corrupt state of the human condition, brought forth by original sin. We do not have to go into detail about the perversion of modern man. It was already written of in Genesis 6 when God wiped out mankind and started over with Noah. The modern state of corrupt humanity is to be acknowledged, pitied and then prayed about.

When we have come to the knowledge of our transgression against God by breaking all of His laws and statutes, as David did when he killed one of his best friends to steal his wife, we are on the road to restoration. Or maybe not! Many choose to follow that road to their destruction - again as we see in the modern American and European society where God is mocked. Unfortunately, most will choose the road to perdition. But not so, those who seek a city, where the builder and architect is God.

These are undisputed facts. Mankind has been totally depraved since the Fall in the Garden and anyone who questions that just has to look at American culture, TV and society. This alone should lead us to repentance. Even if Repentance as the key cornerstone of Sanctification is not taught in your church or mine. Those who walk by the Spirit instinctively know when things are not well with the soul. Repentance is not a change of mind, contrary to what prosperity gospel preachers like Joseph Prince say. If repentance was a change of mind, you can easily change your mind back to sinning ways, unless your mind has been stayed upon Jehovah.

Repentance is a COMPLETE CHANGE OF DIRECTION. Psalm 51 is the Biblical model of Repentance (click here). When we have gotten so far away from the commands and statutes of God that we are "outside the camp", that we are faced with two options - either keep going over the cliff, or turn around. This is where we are at in terms of seeking Revival. This type of Revival is personal. Before a Spiritual Awakening could take hold and catch fire as it did with George Whitefield, or Duncan Campbell or The Jesus Movement, it must begin with you and me. It must bring us to our knees as we grasp the awesomeness and sheer power and scope of first the Majesty of God and then His Wrath.

It is vogue in the West to ignore the part of the Bible which talk about the Wrath and Judgment of God. People ignore this attribute of God at their own personal peril.  We must be on our faces, even, crying out for mercy like the hundreds in Enfield, Connecticut in July 1741 when the great Jonathan Edwards preached the most famous sermon ever in America - Sinners in the Hands of An Angry God! People were literally on the floor in tears with their fears, as Edwards read monotone from the amazing prepared text he brought! What was it that brought such conviction and the need to repent and make things right with God? It was the Word of God and the very fact that Jonathan Edwards pierced their hard hearts. All he had to do was remind that it is only the Grace of God which kept them from being sent to hell, this very minute. They believed him to their eternal credit. Today, no one believes us. But we never give up. We lived repentant daily lifestyles of light, liberty and leaning on the very same Word of God which drove us to our knees and then gave us the victory.

Many are praying for America to be in a Third Great Awakening or for some sort of region, city or state where "Lord bring Your fire" sort of Revival.  This will never happen unless the saints of God are fully repentant, in one accord before the Throne seeking personal and THEN corporate forgiveness as a church. It is only at such a time, when this has been accomplished that we can corporately pray for the Lord to move on a nation, with expectation. Anything else is praying into a horizontal cross-breeze, not up to the Throne.

With these matters settled before the Lord, it is only then we can even begin to speak about the bookends to the Total Depravity of man - and that is - Perseverance of the Saints. This is too important to just briefly describe in a blog posting. What is most critical to know about Perseverance as a child and follower of God through Christ is that only Jesus can give us the ability to persevere. A life of daily repentance or walking in the Spirit and the Light of Christ make persevering through these evil days all the more bearable and even edifying towards maturity, if we see things through His Eyes. We can only have those Eyes if we, who are called by His Name, understand from whence we came, the Price paid for us and what is expected of us. Anything less than earnest repentance will not bring us where we need to be, if we are seeking personal and corporate Revival.

A FORTNIGHT OF PRAYER

DAY 14
FOR FREEDOM - HE SET US FREE
The following are the dictionary definitions of FREEDOM:

1. The state of being free or at liberty rather than in confinement or under physical restraint.
2. Exemption from external control, interference, regulation, etc.
3. The power to determine action without restraint.
4. Political or national independence.
5. Personal liberty, as opposed to bondage or slavery: a slave who bought his freedom. (Source)

On the day we celebrate the biggest Birth of Freedom the world has ever seen, it would serve us well to take another look at what Freedom really means. It was more than just the removal of crazy King George III by the Continental Army, General George Washington and some rag-tag peasants. It was a dawn of a new day where the governed would govern themselves according to a set of Principles and not under some "divine right" of corrupt kings and queens. These principles were all based on the Bible.

Patriot  Preacher Rev. Sam Cooper
It was a novel concept, a new paradigm. It was not to create another theocracy like Rome, but a land where non-believers in God would not just have the same rights and freedom to live peacefully, but could prosper as well. After all, the rain does really fall equally on the righteous and the unrighteous.  During the American Revolution, it was America's pastors who were the conscience of the burst of Freedom and I would even venture to say that the First Great Awakening - the biggest Revival in the world at the time, had something to do with it. This Awakening was spurred by men like Jonathan Edwards - who preached the greatest sermon still in this country (Sinners in the Hands of an Angry God, July 1741). George Whitefield and John Wesley fired up America for the Gospel and people saw that there was Freedom in the Gospel, through Christ our Lord, for the first time in their lives.

Edwards and Whitefield, two great Calvinists, preached and preached and preached until hundreds of thousands came to real salvation in their souls. They showed that it was Christ Jesus Who had the way to TRUE personal freedom and once their own souls were delivered from bondage, these new converts were so emboldened and passionate about spreading the Gospel, they mentored other men to do the same. This preaching and fiery evangelism took place for decades before the War of Independence actually happened.

George Whitefield Preached Freedom in Christ
I think the colonists, through learning about the True Gospel for the first time in their churches discovered the definition of Freedom, similar to Item 1 above (The state of being free or at liberty rather than in confinement or under physical restraint). They discovered what you and I already know in our own souls, and that is - Men who are in the grips and chains of sin and depravity are not free because Sin is crouching at their doors and will devour them in their bondage.

But Jesus Christ came to show us the only way, a better way, where we could defeat those personal transgressions and live in true victory. It is the Way of the Cross - the Way, the Truth and the Life.

It requires men, women and children to realize that we cannot save and make ourselves free, but God can. It requires us to come to the realization that we MUST change course (REPENT), agree with God we're going down the wrong path to destruction, and ask forgiveness for our sins. Then we accept the work, the finished work on the Cross, and turn to the Savior, trusting and obeying Him as LORD and Savior. Don't believe those guys coming out of seminaries like Dallas Theological, Fuller, Hartford or other free grace schools of higher learning, where they say all a person has to do to be saved is "TRUST" in the Jesus and say a prayer! This is a recipe for a false decision and convert. Salvation is an orderly process which requires  Repentance. Jesus wants us to be truly free, and know that we are free so that we can show others how to live free!

Galatians 5:1 says "For freedom Christ has set us free; stand firm therefore, and do not submit again to a yoke of slavery". This yoke of slavery is not just going back and committing the same sin which we were forgiven of, but not allowing ourselves to have our freedoms and liberties chipped and chopped away by men who do not serve the same God as we do. In the modern era, whenever  tyrants wanted to lord it over a people, the first thing to go was religious liberty. The French Revolution was  a good example where pagans like the Jacobins backed by the philosophies, from another world in the Illuminati, and men who hated God like Voltaire and Tom Paine, tried to wipe out Christianity from France. Karl Marx said that "religion was the opium of the masses". His spiritual children - the socialists and communist still have their heathen societies in place in Cuba, China and parts of the old Soviet Union. Even there, God has a small remnant who can still bring hope to the few they are allowed to.

So my friends, on the last day - Day 14 of 14 Days of Prayer and Fasting for America and religious freedom, we should remember a couple things:
1. Religious Freedom came at a price when ordinary men did extraordinary things in the late 1700's, so that they could have a chance to govern themselves, according to a unique system set up by the foundations of Godly principles.
2. Religious Freedom first begins with personal freedom - freedom from your own past and sins, into a life of true peace, joy, happiness and contentment.

Sure there are many of our citizens, then and now, who did not believe as we do. These men and women did, and some still do, contribute to the Great Experiment called America. However, as time and events move closer to the end of all things, we will see increasing evidence of them versus us. It is only by usurping our God-given and Christ-bought-at-the-Cross Freedom they can achieve whatever plans they have to serve themselves. Always remember, the power of men to lord it over others is only temporary and here for a brief time on this earth. But we, our calling, our destination, our Salvation, is permanent. We are set free for eternity and while we may have troubles and tribulation, hold fast - help is not only on the Way, but He is with us always, my fellow Christians! Greater is He Who is in us, than he who rules the current world, for a short time. Sure pray for those who are lost and who oppress other, and pray them into His capable Hands, but always keep our eyes on the Greater Prize - Christ, our Hope and the Glorious Day coming when we see Him Face to face! WHAT A DAY THAT WOULD BE!

Thank you to the wonderful saints in the United States, Canada and South Africa who stayed and prayed these past fourteen days as we purposed on this mission for Religious Freedom and Personal Freedom in Christ! The Lord heard our cries of repentance, submission and intercession for the lost, hurting and the oppressed. If you wish to join a group of prayer warriors on Twitter sometime, usually every Wednesday morning, you can pray with some mighty prayer warriors from the US, UK and South Africa there, by using the hash tag #EuropeAfricaUS.

May God bless and keep us all and may God continue to shine His Mighty Face on the United States of America! Father, in the Mighty Name of Jesus, thank You so much for the privilege of being in Your Presence and for the honor and duty You gave us to pray for Your Grace, Mercy, Righteousness and forgiveness, not just these past two weeks, but each and every day of our lives. Thank You for the Freedom to do this, and for the country You allowed me to set up over 230 years ago, which has allowed Your saints not just to flourish here in the US, but to spread that love and the bountiful goodness of this land around the world to others in need!

Thank You for Your Awesome Son - the Savior - the Lord Jesus - the God Who became a man that He may see and live like we did, so He would be our High Priest, Intercessor, Prophet and King before the Throne daily, as we pray to You, through Him. It is He - the Lord - Who has set us free. It is He - the Lord- who has given us Eternity.  It is He - and He only - to Whom we bow the knee, in reverence, submission and hope to live a life free from the flesh, and one full of the Spirit of the Living God Who has sealed us until the Day of Redemption.

Father, make Your Face to shine once again upon America, remove the dross and let the true jewel shine. Cleanse us from all unrighteousness and forgive us for participating in the sinful evil culture of not just Hollywood, but the filth of an MTV generation through music, books, films and theologies which have now corrupted churches and millions of people who have deceived themselves into thinking You are pleased with this Laodecian-like behavior.

We pray today for the return of Preachers, Evangelists and prophets like Whitefield and Edwards and Moody who would stand on the Gospel and not run megachurches like businesses with their private jets and million dollar houses and clothes.

We pray for a rising up of the Body in a movement of prayer, sacred assembly and revival like Ezra did as the remnant returned to rebuild Jerusalem 2600 years ago.

We pray for leaders now and in the future who will follow Your will and conduct themselves accordingly...and Lord leaders who not just appear in churches during election season with a christian mask on, but men and women who live and govern, in they forget, is their temporary stewardship, according to the Word of God. Even if they do not believe as we do, Lord, You have already written Your Law in their hearts and they are doubly accountable because of their higher position of authority and their consciences should dictate their conduct. Lord, show those, who follow the broad road and lead others into things You did NOT ordain in Your Word, show them their works will be judged accordingly, if they do not repent and turn to the Savior.

We pray finally Lord for this country, that it will return to You before it is too late. You have given us ample warnings in these natural disasters, which the lost have taken to calling "Global Warming".

We pray most of all for our children - that they may be protected from a corrupt society which seeks to educate them in every manner of depravity and ungodly conduct dressed up in the sheep's clothing of tolerance and alternate lifestyles. Bring Godly intervention to the sleeping church, which has allowed this to happen and not say a word about it.

Father God, bless this day, give us strength and hope, most of all give us the Perseverance of the saints of God to make it through these days so we can not only flourish as a Body spiritually, to the end, but we can lead many to a saving knowledge of Christ, in Whose Name I pray, amen.
