MEET ANGELIQUE CHASE: MOM, PODCASTER, ENCOURAGER, ACTRESS, PRODUCER

Editor's Note: I first became aware of Angelique Chase about one decade ago, through another great woman of the Christian Faith, Jenn Gotzon, who has appeared in numerous articles on this website in the past. In September 2025, Angelique launched a series of very inspirational messages on her YouTube channel (click here). I found them intriguing and knew there was a niche for such encouraging content across the fruited plain.

We can know more about Angelique Chase's varied acting background from her IMDB PAGE. However, her current work, as a married mother of two beautiful young children, combined with her proven devotion to the Scriptures and love for the Lord, is to be celebrated. To that end, Angelique recently agreed to the following interview.

Our prayer is that this very inspiring interview will lead to many visiting her ministry channel on YouTube, where her daily affirmations.

Greetings, Angelique! To all the wonderful folks out there who would like to know, who is Angelique Chase, of Savannah, Georgia?

Growing up, my Dad was in the Air Force. This allowed me the opportunity to live in a few different environments, states, and countries, including Iceland, England, North Dakota, and California, and then retiring to Georgia, where my Mom was raised. I had a normal upbringing as an only child, but living in these different places helped me to grasp how big our world is and a taste of how many walks of life can exist. I value that.  I love people, and I love helping people. If I weren’t a filmmaker, I feel like I could’ve been a psychologist. I began dating a lovely man, Matt, in high school, and shortly after graduating from college, we were married. I feel absolutely blessed to have found him at such an early age and had the opportunity to grow into adulthood with him. We’ve recently been blessed with a son, 3 years ago, and a daughter just last year. I have learned a whole new kind of love. Becoming a mom has helped me to understand our Father’s love even more, that beautiful, unconditional love.

That is so wonderful. You are a true embodiment of the Christian nuclear family. Congratulations to you and Matt on your two wonderful and good-looking toddlers! May I ask about your faith journey, please? Did you grow up in a Christian family? When did you give your life to Christ?

My family started attending church when we moved to Georgia. I was 11 years old and getting my first experience with church service, Sunday School, singing hymns, and most importantly, hearing the Word. It did not take long for the Holy Spirit to find a home in my heart and start the stir. Just a year later, at age 12, I began asking a lot of questions and decided to accept Jesus as my Lord and Savior. Looking back, I had feelings beyond my age, which still amazes me.

What a great testimony, Angelique. You obviously had a firm family and faith foundation, which carried you through college, into adulthood, and now to this new ministry where the Love of God and Love for people so overwhelms that you are now creating these powerful presentations on your podcasts.  So, may I ask, what lessons have you learned over the years?

Lessons I’ve learned? Where do I start? Hahaha! The very first thing that comes to mind is the absolute need to stay in the Word every single day. I have had too many instances where I’ve “been busy” or think “I’ll get to it” or “let me do this first” or “as soon as I can have a minute of quiet”. These are times where my priorities, by the world’s standards, seemed innocent and understood, but in God's Eyes, completely off track and missing the point.  When I don’t prioritize my time with God, that is giving the devil a foothold. Even more so, creating idols. We must always be on guard.

You are a very busy mother. A three and a one-year-old will basically monopolize your time. In light of that, what motivates you, as a filmmaker, mom, and now podcaster? Secondly, why did you decide to start this new series?

I love Max Lucado’s book “Cure for the Common Life”. I believe everyone should read it, especially younger folks getting ready to make education and career decisions. In it, Max talks about finding your ‘sweet spot’. He explains that is where, your talents, meet your passions, meet God’s will. I desperately want to be in my sweet spot, because I know that is where I was meant to be and where my path is He created for me.  I believe acting is a part of my sweet spot. I say a part, because He has also guided me through many opportunities to write screenplays, which I never considered before. I realized in writing, I was able to not only create stories with a message, but to tell people’s stories/testimonies. I love that. To be able to bring light to real-life struggles and victories in a way that can lead others to the Lord? What a blessing.

For right now, with filmmaking taking a slide to the backseat to motherhood, I still feel that tug. I love having the opportunity to be at home with my two little babies. I started praying for a couple of months earlier this year about that tug. I asked if there was something I could do from home. The Lord reminded me of my devotionals I had written when I was doing Live Periscope shows 7 or so years ago. I still had them on my computer. And wouldn’t you know it, my husband had bought me a microphone several years ago, saying he thought I might need it one day. So then I prayed, Lord, now help me find the time. And He did.

Your new series is called ANCHOR AND AFFIRM- CLICK HERE. You also have another Series, can you tell us about it, please?

The Quiet Word meditation series came out of my experiences. I knew how hard it is to find time to sit in peace to ponder or pray and wished to share this time, with those who may be going through similar circumstances. So I created a 20-minute series to present that opportunity, where someone can put aside a set time, where you can just click and breathe. "Refine in Five" was an idea inspired by my always wanting to give advice. I love helping people and helping them find their inspired path. I worked with Ai to find the most commonly searched struggles people are seeking help with and then proceeded, along these lines.

(NEW) REFINE IN FIVE HERE:

Is your body of work aimed at any specific audience or just anyone who is inspired by your teachings and motivational devotionals?

I don’t have a specific audience in mind. I try to keep my messages simple and grounded in real life so others can hear and understand them—even without any background in faith.

As busy as you are as a mom and raising a family with Matt, there must be some project or something new percolating in that creative mind of yours. I have purchased some of your encouragement cards in the past and know the range of content that you are capable. Are there any new projects in the works, and where would you like to take this...what's the next step

I’m still in regular communication with my business partner at First City Films, Chip Lane. We have a couple of wonderful (award-winning) scripts that we’re still trying to find investors for. We just released our fun-loving, family sci-fi film, ‘Inventors’ (also award-winning). It’s out on Tubi for free and for rent on Fandango and Amazon Prime. My first passion in the industry is still acting. I’ve been able to pick up auditioning again and I’m excited about what’s ahead. Since having children, I’ve recognized this as a new chapter in my career. I’m continually praying about how, where, and what. However, wherever He leads, I’ll follow.

Your podcast is called Anchor and Affirm.....please expand on this so that someone who is not in a good place can find stability, reduce anxiety, and find peace through Christ via your teachings.

When I began preparing what all I wanted to bring to this podcast, I felt it had the possibility to start one way and could go in many different ways. I wanted to create a channel that, by name, would say what you’ll find. Anchor, a solid place to wrap your arms around the unwavering, living Word, and hold on. Affirm, a place to find encouragement, inspiration, and a warm hug.

try not to watch the numbers, the clicks, and the views. I created this because He asked me to, and no matter the algorithms and social trends, I know doing what He asks is what is important. It is His.

FROM BERNIE:

Angelique, thank you so very much for taking time out of your super busy schedule to share these with the world. You are an inspiration yourself. If you still have some of those beautiful cards, I may need to get some more, as we live in such a sad and depressing time when it does not have to be so. Everyone needs Hope, and that Hope can only be found in Jesus. You have touched on so many things here, and I wish to encourage any and everyone to go to your YouTube podcast and follow or subscribe to your series. They will not be disappointed. Thank you very much for sparing the time. May God bless you and yours at all times.

Here is an example from your longer form presentation: "THE QUIET WORD":
